"I'm not mad at you anymore, Jimin...well, maybe now I am since you interrupted our-OWW, CHRIST WOMAN."

TAEHYUNGS POV

Delaney had grabbed my ear, twisting it painfully. Thank heaven I wasn't wearing earrings.

"Taehyung, stop."

I pouted again. "Fine."

I looked at Jimin, and he had a small smile on his face, but seemed hesitant. I gave him a smile.

"I'm not mad at you. I know you only said what you did because you care about me."

He relaxed a little, his shoulders dropping a bit. "I do care, Tae. I always will."

He looked at Delaney, a small frown marring his face.

"Delaney, I need to apologize to you too. I had no right to assume you would purposely hurt Tae once I knew the truth about why you were here. I know you're innocent in all this. All you did was make a wish, one that you probably never imagined would come true."

She shook her head. "Not in a million years." She breathed out, smiling at Jimin.

"You don't have to apologize to me though. I don't blame you for being worried about Tae. I'm worried about him too. I would have never made such a selfish wish if I'd known how it was going to end. I hate that he will suffer even after I'm gone. It hardly seems fair at all."

Jimin narrowed his eyes. "What's not fair? He'll forget about you once you're not here anymore, right? Isn't that how these things work?"

"I'm not sure how this normally works, honestly. I've never had a wish granted before. I only know what I was told. Tae and I will both remember everything about this 30 days. Well, almost everything. Taehyung won't be able to remember my name."

Jimin's eyes went wide, and his breath caught. "No..." he whispered. "Oh my god, Tae, you know this is what's going to happen, and you're still here...this is going to kill you Taehyung."

I looked at Delaney, seeing the pain in her eyes. I shook my head at her, reaching for her hand.

"It'll be okay. I'll be okay." I wasn't sure that was true, but I needed to be strong.

Delaney got up, pulling her hand free and mumbling that she needed the bathroom. I watched sadly as she disappeared, closing the door.

I looked at Jimin, his eyes were shining, tears filling them up. "Jimin, I will be fine. Just promise that you'll be there for me if I need a shoulder, and that you won't turn your back on me when I do what I have to do to try and remember her name, so that I can find her."

He drew in a breath, his brows coming together. "Tae...I would never turn my back on you. But why do you want to find her? You know she'll be back to her reality, married and stuff."

"I know, and I know that there isn't anything I can do about that. But I can make sure she's okay, and I can be her friend, be someone she can talk to if she needs to. As long as I can do that, I'll be okay."

Jimin's face wrinkled up, and a tear rolled down his cheek. "You are the best person I know Tae. This world doesn't deserve you," he whispered.

Delaney had come back as Jimin was speaking, sitting down beside me, and I heard her sniffle, and saw a tear fall, landing on her leg. I reached for her, my arms going around her and pulling her to me. She turned, her face pressing into my chest, her arms going around me, holding me tightly, and I could feel her tears against my skin.
