I want no part of it

I pushed my way thru, and went to my room, closing and locking the door. I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone right now. Jimin could fill them in. I was going to lay here, and stare at the ceiling until morning.

JIMIN'S POV

They all looked at me, waiting for some kind of explanation. I took a deep breath, hoping it wasn't going to end up being a long night, because we all really needed to get some sleep.

"What happened Jimin?" Jin asked me, concern lining his face.

I looked at the other three, wondering if they'd tried to get Jungkook to tell them.

"Is Jungkook here?"

RM nodded. "He's in his room. He asked us not to bother him."

"I just wanted to make sure he came home, and wasn't out wandering around somewhere."

"So what happened? Why were he and Laney both crying?" Yoongi questioned, arms crossed over his chest.

I pushed my hair back off my forehead, sighing.

"Apparently, Tae and Kook got Laney into a car with them after the shoot today, and asked her to help them figure out a way to remember her name. She acted like she didn't want them to remember, and Tae questioned her, not understanding why."

"Why is Tae even planning to try to remember her name, if he isn't supposed to be able to?" RM asked, one brow raised.

"So that he can find her."

His mouth opened, then closed. He held up his index finger, brows drawn together.

"He plans to find her?"

"That's what he's been saying since he found out she only has 30 days." I answered, chewing on my thumb nail.

"But she's married. She's 51, and has kids. Why in the name of Namjesus would he want to find her?"

I laughed a little. "You do realize who we're talking about, right? Kim 'Heart of Gold' Taehyung... he knows her reality is anything but happy. He wants to know that she's okay. He wants to be able to check on her, be there for her if she needs someone to talk to. Are we going to judge him for that, or try and make him feel like he shouldn't?"

"You know there's more to it than that Hyung."

The five of us turned collectively to see Jungkook standing at the end of the hallway, looking sad. He came forward, stopping in front of us.

"You know he loves her. He can't stand the thought of losing her." He was looking right at me, his eyes full of pain.

"You're right Kookie, he does love her. But he knows that nothing can come of it. I think he really does just want to keep her in his life, any way that he can, even if it's just friends."

He nodded, looking at the floor, then back up at all of us.

"Ya know, at first, I was all for him trying to find her, and more than willing to help him. But after tonight, after hearing how she feels, and realizing that he loves her, I don't want him to. I don't want to see him sacrifice his own happiness, just to know that she's okay. And that's exactly what he'll do. He'll spend every spare minute he has, checking on her, being there to comfort her, even if it's only thru texts, or a phone call. He'll put his life on hold, because he loves her, and he'll put her needs above his own. You all know it. We can't let him remember her name."

There was silence in the room, because after hearing it, we all realized that Jungkook was right. That is exactly what Tae would do.

Jin looked at him, and asked the question everyone had been wondering.
