Get His Attention

"So? Seryoso ka talaga dyan sa kabaliwan mong plano kay hottie Gray?" Tanong ni Rob habang papasok kaming tatlo sa classroom.

Inirapan ko siya. Mukhang siya ang may gusto dun sa tao eh. Bato pala.

"You are digging your own grave Amber." Mia said.

I turned towards them and crossed my arms. "Nothing is gonna happen besties. Baka nga pasalamatan pa niya ako sa huli." I flipped my hair and opened the door.

A grin is forming on my lips when I spotted Gray sitting at the last row in the back. He's sitting with Green–one of his cousin. Yung isa pa niyang kasama kanina sa hallway ay si Sky, kaso STEM student yun, so his definitely not in this class.

Nang makita ko ang bakanteng upuan sa harap ni Gray ay agad akong lumapit.

But my forehead furrowed when I noticed a particular girl whose racing with me against that chair. Gosh! It's Rachel. This slut!

Nilakihan ko ang mga hakbang ko at ibinato ang bag ko doon sa upuan.

"Mine!" I stated as I reached for the armchair. I looked at the irksome girl who's now glaring at me.

I smiled smugly before seating. She tried to sit on the chair beside me but I immediately put my bag on there.

"Reserved for my besties." I said dryly and raised my eyebrow.

She gaped at me, but turned away without any word. Whoa! That was easy.

"Hey guys! Watcha still doing there?" I called my friends.

They both rolled their eyes but walk and sat beside me anyway.

"Crazy." Mia muttered without looking at me.

I just shrugged her grievances away.

Ilang minuto lang ay pumasok na ang teacher namin sa Applied Economics.

Sinubukan kong pakiramdaman ang presensya ng lalaki sa likod ko pero wala akong maramdaman. Lumipat ba siya ng upuan?

I turned my back and saw him listening intently at the teacher, taking notes with his pen in hand. He didn't even gave me a glance.

Psh. What to expect from Mr. Stone?

Bumaling ako kay Green na nasa tabi niya kaya't nakita ko ang pagkindat nito sa akin. Unlike Gray, wala ito ni isang gamit sa ibabaw ng mesa niya.

I grimaced and turned back when I felt my cheeks warming. Did he just caught me staring at Gray?

Pero biglang may pumasok sa isip ko. I almost did my victory dance. Now, I know the first step for me to tame Gray.

Taming Gray Step Number 1: Get his attention!

Bakit nga ba hindi ko naisip yun? Of course, how could a person open up to you when you don't even have his attention? Dumb Amber! Dumb.

Habang nakikinig ako sa teacher ay sinusubukan kong mag-isip ng paraan para makuha ko ang atensyon niya.

I open my notebook, write something on a page and tear it. Kunwari ay nagkamali ako.

Lumingon sa akin ang lahat ng classmates ko kasama na yung teacher dahil gumawa ng malakas na ingay ang pagpunit ko ng papel.

I sheepishly smiled at everyone and glared at the noisy notebook! You sheet! What the heck is your problem?

I crumpled the piece of paper and fugitively drop it at my back.

Ngumisi ako nang makaramdam ng pagtapik sa balikat ko. Ang dali naman yata nito.
