From the first encounter, Soobin was awestruck with HueningKai, but HueningKais overprotective best friends, old romantic interests, and Soobin's thug past all cause problems for the two as their romance builds.

Soobin had been to carnivals before. He remembers back in his high school years when he would go to the event with some boys from his gang; they usually brought girls along. They were loud, energetic and annoying.
"SOOBIN I WON!" Huening Kai yelled at the top of his lungs, He was running towards Soobin while flailing a stuffed pigeon in the air. His hair blowing out of his face as he ran; exposing his forehead. Although it was still winter, the sun was shining down right on Huenings pale smooth face, making him look like he was actually glowing

Huening Kai is loud and energetic, but he's not annoying.
"How many tries?" Soobin asked curiously as he handed Huening his pink lemonade that the older previously went to go buy.
"J-just six-" Kais face briefly flushed red "- but all that matters is I won!"
Today, Huening Kai and Soobin came to the traveling carnival. Kai waited outside of Soobins college for him to get out of class that day, and as soon as Soobin was off campus, Huening dragged the two to the carnival. Of course, Soobin had no objections.
The two have wasted a significant amount of the day riding roller coasters, and playing overpriced games for less than low-quality prizes.
"Look, a haunted house ride!" Huening said in awe; his straw still in his mouth. The younger boy pointed up ahead at the ride. It consisted of a cheaply built haunted mansion that you had to ride through while inside a car made for a maximum of two. Huenings light brown eyes shined as he stared at the ride.
"You're not scared of scary rides?" Soobin asked the glowing boy. Huening promptly shook his head before chugging the rest of his drink; throwing it into a nearby trash bin.
"I love horror! can we ride it? pleasE?" Hueining tugged on Soobins arm while doing a little jump as he begged. Soobin found this incredibly adorable that he had to look away.
"Yeah, I don't mind" Soobin's face remained blushed as Kai dragged the older by the arm towards the ride. The two-handed their tickets to the worker and got inside their car, strapping the seat belts as instructed.
