Just got back to the hospital after being reported missing for seventeen hours. Yesterday afternoon I left the hospital and went home like planned, I dyed my hair bright pink and watched TV. Two hours before I was due back I decided to go to the shops and get a bottle of alcohol... I downed the entire 10.5 units within a few minutes. I hadn't eaten in six hours so the drink went straight to my head and it didn't take long for me to be completely wasted. I decided to walk to town and get McDonald's to sober up ;however it didn't work and by then I was already late back. My phone was dying, I was very intoxicated, there were no buses running and I did not know my way back to the hospital. I thought it best and responsible to go back home, sleep it off and then return to hospital in the morning. This morning though I really didn't want to go back. I ignored all the calls from my Sister and the Police, so that no one could find me and I very slowly walked the eight miles to the hospital. I stopped at every McDonald's on the way. Apparently the ward also reported me missing, though they didn't seem too worried that I'd gone AWOL and a few hours after returning I could leave again. What a great adventure I had, only regret it being so short.
