The sun started to rise. Each girl at Four Star Academy who took the dance class started to wake up, eager to get in some extra trained for the most anticipated day of the year: S4 selections. Everyone wanted to be in S4, but only one person per class could make it, so it required lots of training. Today was the selections to determine who would represent dance class in S4. Tomorrow would be theater. Then beauty. Then song. Ruka sprinted around the school. Rie found her and caught up.
"Hey sis! Are you nervous?" Rie asked Ruka. Ruka nodded.
"Honoka is so good, and she's a second year. I doubt I will be able to beat her," Ruka sighed.
"I think you'll do fine," Rie reassured her, "and even if you don't win, you'll probably be good enough to be selected as an admin."
"Being an admin doesn't sound that bad!" Ruka said cheerfully.
"We will begin today's Wind Dance Class S4 selections with Ruka Igarashi!" Headmaster Mizuki announced.

Ruka did amazing. As everyone else went, she remained at the top of the leaderboard, until it was the last person's turn: current S4 member Honoka Hoshimiya.

She sang One Step
Everyone stared at the leaderboard as Honoka passed everyone, including Ruka. Ruka did really good, but it wasn't enough, as Honoka was even better. Honoka walked by Ruka.
"You did great," she said to Ruka, "I was a bit nervous that you would beat me!"
"Thanks, same to you," Ruka replied.
So far Honoka would be representing Wind Dance Class, but tomorrow they would all find out who would represent Bird Theater Class.
Sena slowly got out of bed and looked at the time.
"Oh shoot," she said, realizing what time it was. She looked at her AiMobile and saw texts from Izumi that read:
"Sena, where are you?!"
"Are you up?!"
"I thought we were going to train early today!"
"Wake up!"
Sena giggled. "Woops!" She quickly got out of bed and got ready for the day, but by the time she was done, she had no time to train before the selection. She crossed her fingers as she ran to the selections. Izumi was first.

She stayed at first place for a while, until it was Sena's turn.

Sena immediately rose to the top and stayed there. Soon, it was time for the last performance of the day: Ai Kanemoto. Sena was a bit nervous. It's very hard to beat an S4 member.

She sang Dreaming Bird
Sena's eyes were glued to the leaderboard as she watched Ai's points go up. She closed her eyes, ready to take in her defeat. It wasn't a big deal really, as she would still get into S4 because Ai was a third year, but it would be nice. But when Sena opened them, she saw that Ai's points had stopped, and they stopped a few points short of Sena, leaving Sena in first place. Sena stared at the leaderboard in awe.
I decided to split this into two parts just so that you don't have to wait forever for an update. Beauty and theater class will be in the next part!
