Rue Scarce

Fierce Montreal. Familiar yet anonymous. I asked Sheer to find some information about him, but unfortunately, they were careful enough to hide all of them. I will have to wait until they finally uncovered them.

I am now beside a beautiful beach, watching the waves come and go with my bare feet caressing the white sand.

Today is the beginning of the shooting of the said jewelries and so far, I didn't get anything wrong. I followed the directions and managed to satisfy the spectators.

I was supposedly scheduled to complete just one shoot today since I was just a beginner, but the day passed by with half the collections finished. Mr Stone was there to watch my every move and when the news reached Mr Gray, he rushed to see for himself. Only to leave him speechless with my performance.

We still have enough time to film another shoot, but we were supposed to film the other jewelries in front of a mansion, and it was much farther from here. I pried a strand off of my masked face as the wind blew. I had to hide my face, even from the staff aside from the director.

I took my heels off to feel the waves kissing my feet as I wait for the crew to pack up. The breeze was exactly what I need. It smelt fresh and salty that it helped me calm my nerves.

I was only wearing an off shoulder sun dress, leaving exposed skin, but then I felt a soft material hovering above my shoulders.

"I won't say anything to take what I said to you before, but I have to compliment you for finishing up earlier than expected. I seriously considered that it will take days for you to film perfectly." His voice was deep and husky, but I only rolled my eyes in return.

"I won't even take it as a compliment either way." I answered, not taking my eyes off of the sea, the sun illuminating beautifully against the water.

"I won't expect anything that would surprise me more, but I won't interfere with your work unless of course you screw it up."

I didn't speak, I wasn't allowed to.  And yet I was mentally demanding him to leave if he doesn't have anything more to say.

"Keep the coat, Sweetheart. You might need it." He gave a soft tap against my shoulder and turned away to leave.

I let out a sigh when I can no longer see him in sight. I had the urge to pull the man's coat off my shoulders but I can see the crew was watching the whole thing, their eyes clearly focused on me.

"Who is she?"

"I don't know, but she looks close with Sir Galen."

"Too bad we're not allowed to see her face."

"I bet she isn't as good looking as her body."

"Are you kidding me? With a body like that and those movements, you can already guess she's a professional model. I sure hope she is beautiful."

"Maybe she's a fraud. There's no way she's a beginner in this industry."

"Why would she even hide her face? This is becoming more suspicious."

This is what I despise with my amazing hearing ability. They may be useful, but at times it feels like I am eavesdropping into one's conversation, most especially a conversation concerning me.

I clenched a fist against the silky soft coat and pulled on my feet, walking away towards the restroom to clean them.
