Rue Scarce

My head hurts. I'm not sick or injured, but being with the most irritating man there is in this world makes my head spin and my temper falling short.

Unfortunately for me, Mr Stone went out of town for two weeks and didn't even care to take me with him. Saying he can do everything by himself.

And now I'm left with his arrogant cousin who I'll be working for two whole weeks.

"Sugar, will you please make me coffee? Make sure to add a spoon of sugar." Mr Riot orders, but it came out in a teasing tone rather than a demanding one.

I made my way towards the coffee machine and did as told, trying not to lose my cool.

Once I finished the coffee, I turned to place it on his desk and waited for him to bark out orders.

He brought the cup to his lips and took a sip, his eyes glistening in a look I can't quite figure.

"Did you forget to put the sugar, Miss Collins? I specifically told you to add a spoon." He says as I clenched my teeth.

"I did, Mr Riot. Two spoons of it."

"Then how come I can't taste the sweetness?"

He brought the cup to my lips and made me sip. I definitely tasted the bittersweet taste of the coffee unlike what he said.

He's playing with me.

"I apologize, I'll make another one." I said, turning for the machine.

Only that before I could, he pulled on my chin and I felt something slick and wet sliding over my closed mouth.

The gesture only registered my mind when the man's face was right in front of me, licking his lips with delight.

The bastard just licked my mouth!

"Hmm. Now that I tasted it, it is a great coffee, Miss Secretary." He was smirking, ready to see me explode.

And believe me when I say my timer has almost gone off. My mind was telling me to bash this man's arrogant face onto the floor and give him a taste of my wrath. Only that would satisfy his mirth and make me as low as scum, but I am far from that.

I grabbed a tissue from his desk and boldly wiped my wet lips in front of him with a deadpanned look.

"Miss Stone need these books shipped out by tomorrow. We don't have time to waste for insignificant things such as your ignorance, Mr Riot."

I can tell he is surprised. I have a very short temper, but I'd rather take it out by getting blood in my hands than waste it worthlessly with this man.

Mr Riot's face can't be comprehended now but I hear his breaths getting shallow and his heart beating in a much faster pace than normal.

"You are certainly playing this game with me, Ebony. Trust me when I say I'm far better than you." He says, his voice sounding deeper as he leaned his face towards mine.

"I have no idea what you're saying, Mr Riot and neither do I care. Now, as your temporary secretary, it is best that you do your work..." I paused, grabbing a couple of papers and pushed them onto his own chest whilst pulling myself away.

"While I do mine."

I gave one last tap on his shoulders that pushed him down on his seat before walking off towards my desk. Before I could resume my work, the man mutters such incoherent words under his breath that it might be best not to think about it.
