Sheer Blackett

"Survival is the core of being an assassin. It's either be killed or to kill. If by chance you escape..."

"Find me when you're ready, until then... LIVE."

The way Rue said it even gave shivers down my spine . It made Tristan and his family looked intimidated, hopeless, and frightened.

When the three of us got out of the building in three minutes max, I watched the facility in excitement.

"You really are a demon, Rue." I say, laughing at my own joke.

"I'm not a demon, Sheer. But I will be the beast to hunt anyone in my way." She answered, looking at her watch.

I turn to Ashton as he awaits my signal.

"You know what to do, Ashton." I say the instant the timer resounded.

He pushed two buttons on his phone, looking too serious and uncomfortable.

"Unlocking said door, and initiating self destruct." He said neutrally.

The ground shook, making me look back at the abandoned building. There were no witnesses in sight, even if there were we'll get our hands dirty.

The whole place looked like an earthquake struck it as we watched the walls break into pieces of debris and trash. The place gave up and in a matter of minutes, a pile of rubble was left in place.

"Someone survived, much to my dismay." I hear Rue mutter.

I nod in approval, watching as Tristan's second son crawled his way out of the place with wounds.

"That's Conner. The second son. I found out he's a member of a gang and Tristan hated him. He actually has a different father and Tristan would always beat the crap out of him..." I paused when another body crawled out of the rubble.

I was beyond shocked that Tristan survived.

"Anyone else alive?" I asked, gritting my teeth.

"None other than those two." Rue answered, sensing my temper.

"Well, then... I'll follow your theme of the day." I say, grinning and making my way towards the two.

"What the fuck?! Of all people, you survived?" Tristan yelled, shouting at Conner.

"I should ask you the same thing, father." Conner replied.

Boy, that made him snap.

Tristan charged him, only to step back when I threw two knives on the ground between them. They then turned their attention towards us, no doubt angry that I interrupted yet curious as to what I'm doing next.

"I'll have to congratulate you both. You escaped Rue's wrath."

I can feel Rue's eyes on me with irritation but I shrugged it off and then looked at them in zany humor.

"You conquered step two of our little game. Rue had her fun, it's my turn to have some as well. Now for the finale..." I paused for a slight effect.

"Fight to the death. The winner gets to live. I suppose it isn't too hard on you two, is it?"

The pair then turned their eyes against each other, the hate and anger vivid and clear. My proposal was accepted when they both grabbed a knife, circling themselves in a fighting stance.

"What now, Master?" Ashton stood behind me.

"Just lie back and enjoy, Ash. You know better than to interfere in this battle, a battle filled with emotional pain and hatred."
