Usually you and Tonks went on dates within the wizarding world but seen as you were a muggleborn and the two of you had been visiting your family, you decided to go to a fancy muggle restaurant, something that neither of you had ever done. You weren't overly wealthy growing up, nor were you now, but you wanted to treat Tonks so found the fanciest restaurant and booked a table for the two of you.

When you both turned up, you knew it was probably a bad idea seen as Tonks stood out with her bright pink hair and lead to questionable looks from others. Nevertheless, you both took your seats at the corner table you had booked, hoping for a romantic dinner. Neither of you could read the menu as it was all in French so opted for the chef's special and just hoped that it wouldn't be atrocious.

The waitress brought over two plates of questionable looking food. Tonks opted to use her fingers to pick up a morsel of food, but her face turned sour after one mouthful, spitting the remnants of it into a napkin.

"What is this?" She retched.

"I think it's caviar," you said, glad to have not taken a mouthful yourself.

"What's that?"

"Fish eggs."

Tonk's nose screwed up as she took a large gulp of the complimentary water that was perched upon the table.

"I feel more inclined to take a bite out of my own flesh than eat that," she frowned.

You gave her a sympathetic smile, realising dinner wasn't going to go nearly as well as you hoped as the two of you were already way too far out of your elements.

"Shall we just go?" You offered.

"I don't want to ruin our dinner," she said apologetically.

"Don't be stupid Tonks," you smiled softly. "This place is very clearly not us. This is the furthest thing from the two of us that could have ever existed. I wanted to treat you to a nice dinner but Merlin this isn't a nice dinner, it feels like some form of sick and twisted torture."

Tonks laughed as you rose from the table, dropping a couple of notes onto the table to cover the time you had the table and the starter that you both failed to eat. The two of you begun to make your way out of the restaurant making a mental note to never return.

"Maybe we should just grab a kebab instead?" You asked.

"We should."
