Sometimes you believed that your plans were genius, even if they weren't overly thought out but nevertheless still offered more from them than doing nothing. You wouldn't say that you enjoyed meddling, but you certainly didn't like watching your two best friends pining after each other and doing nothing about it. The whole way through school Remus and Sirius were clearly in love, even though they wouldn't admit it to each other. Even if they wouldn't say it to the other, both had admitted their feelings to you, and you weren't one to wish to watch them suffer.

Now a couple of years after you had finished school, you shared a house with Remus, so it wasn't unusual for you to be travelling with him to a café for lunch, little did he know that you had invited Sirius to meet the two of you.

You approached the café together and clearly through the window, Sirius' dark hair stood out amongst the other patrons. He noticed you both and waved, Remus forcing you to stop as he saw Sirius waving manically from the room.

"What is he doing here?" Remus questioned, his face becoming paler than usual.

"I don't know," you lied terribly, the truth being shown through your dumb grin that stuck on your face.

He gave you a stern look. "What are you up to?"

You couldn't help the giggle that escaped you, hoping that your set up would work for them. They both liked each other, and they were perfect together but both of them refused to admit their interest.

"You know that you are perfect together but no matter how many times I tell you that he likes you too, you never act upon it. So maybe I have set this lunch up so that the two of you can talk about your feelings," you shrugged nonchalantly, acting as though it didn't matter even know it meant far more than you let on.

Remus shook his head at you, disapproving of your ploy.

"You're a manipulator," he stated.

You grinned. "I like to think of myself as an outcome engineer."

He turned his attention back to the confused man in the café, whom didn't know why you were hesitating outside.

"He doesn't like me, Y/N," he whispered.

"He really does Remus. Just give it a shot, please."

He shook his head again. "I'm scared he'll hate me."

Your eyes rolled. "Believe me, Sirius Black could never hate you, now come on before he thinks you're broken."

Although reluctant, Remus followed behind you into the café to take the first step into his future.
