Draco stood in the hallway, his wand raised to Crookshanks, whom was being held in a tight grasp and clasped to his chest. Except from you and him, the hallway was devoid of people.

"One stop closer and Hermione's fat little kitty here ends up as something else for Filch to wipe off the walls." The wand pressed against the cat's temple and was met with a barrage of scratches and swipes, which Draco managed to brush off as nothing.

"Let him go!" You yelled out, your shouts echoed throughout the empty corridor.

"Or what? What is an incompetent little mudblood like you going to do? You're too scared, that's the problem with you little pathetic students. If that was me in your shoes me and the cat would have been turned into a pile of ash by now. Come on, just take the shot."

The wand pressed further and further into the side of Crookshanks ginger head, the fur almost devouring the whole wand.

"What has that cat done to you? Just because nobody has ever shown you love, and affection doesn't mean you have to take that away from somebody else. Just put him down and we can all just say you beat me up or something."

"Please, don't try and bargain with me, what do you think I am? I will give you to the count of five, you will do what I say or you'll have some bad news to tell her. One... Two... Three... Four..." The end of his wand began to spark with energy and illuminate Crookshanks' head until something jolted Draco from behind, sending the wand rolling to your feet, he still managed to hold onto the cat.

"Don't make me do something I'm going to regret." Ginny, who must have sneaked in behind you stood in front of an open door with her robe flowing in the wind and her wand raised. Fury brandished her eyes and her hands trembled with anger.

"Oh please, you managed to sneak up on me and get in a cheap shot, don't be so proud of yourself." Another bolt flew from the tip of her wand, knocking his legs out from underneath him and sending him crashing to the floor.

"If it's between you and the cat your chances aren't pretty."

"It's a bloody cat, not even your flea-stricken menace, what do you care?"

"To be honest Draco, I didn't need much of an excuse."
