You scanned the Gryffindor table, but nowhere could you see your girlfriend Hermione. It was rare that she would miss a meal, rather considering it important to have regular meals to assist in her studying. You found Harry and Ron and asked them if they knew where she was, but they were none the wiser. It hit you that exams were in three weeks, which for most people was a lot of time but for Hermione it was the equivalent of the night before. She would almost definitely be in the library, working her butt off even though she was smarter than every student, taking those exams with her.
Knowing she probably got too distracted by studying, you piled up two plates of food, before sneaking out of the great hall to find her in the library. It wasn't easy to get there but you found her sat off in the corner, books sprawled out across the table and floor, even a few floating around her.
"Hermione," you said softly, not wishing to startle her.
She snapped her eyes up to you, concerned at first but then glad to see you.
"What are you doing here?" She questioned.
"You missed dinner."
Her eyebrows furrowed before realisation washed over her.
"I didn't notice the time," she apologised. "I'm sorry."
You handed her a plate and put the other one down next to her, pulling up a chair so that you could eat dinner together in the library even though you weren't meant to.
"I came prepared," you smiled. "You shouldn't overwork yourself though Hermione, you're going to ace the exam regardless."
"I still need to study so much more, I'm not ready," she frowned, pushing a book away from her so that she had room to put her plate down.
No matter how much she studied, it wasn't ever enough for her, she always wanted to study more even if everyone else knew that she was doing perfectly well.
"It'll be okay 'Mione, but you need to pay attention to meals so that you don't waste away."
She gave you an apologetic smile. "Thank you for bringing me dinner, I probably wouldn't have noticed until late. I try to remember meals but sometimes I get far too stuck into the book I'm reading."
"It's okay," you assured her. "If you needed me to bring breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, I would."
