True story. No BS.
Yesterday I was walking along the sidewalk of a busy street in Tokyo when I felt a flick behind my right ear. I turned around thinking it was just a passerby that had hit me accidentally but no one was within 5 feet of me. So I just kept on walking and reached this 4 way intersection and the light was red on my side so I waited. Then I felt the flick again but this time behind my left ear. I turned around and nothing. Then I looked up at the light again, but only the top half of the light was red (it's in the silhouette of a man walking). The lower half was dark. Thought nothing of it. Then I heard someone whisper in my ear "It's not your time. Down." Clear as fucking day. Only people around me were Japanese and they all had their headphones in and were glued to their mobiles. I shit myself and then looked up at the light again and it turned green ONLY on the bottom half
At this point I don't know why but I had the strong urge to tie my shoelaces. Whilst I was crouched and fiddling with my shoes, the rest of the people waiting all crossed the street except me... then it couldn't have been 2 seconds later that I heard metal bending and snapping(?) and it was then I realized a fucking sharp pole just swung right above my head and missed me by a mere fraction of an inch. It could have seriously hurt me because there were nails everywhere. I got up confused and scared only to have the store owner come out and apologize profusely asking if I was okay.
I really think someone or something saved my life...
