So for some context, my father is a truck driver. He travels all over the country delivering goods and services or whatever some company needs. Since he's driving all day, he often goes to small food places and gas stations to get dinner before sleeping in his cabbie. He's been pretty much everywhere, and he's seen some sh*t. One night, we're having a fire in the backyard and roasting marshmallows, and somehow we get to the topic of ghost stories. And my father says something of this effect:
"You know, the strangest thing happened around this automobile shop I stopped at when I needed some stuff for my truck. I decided to walk around for a bit, maybe watch the sunset. Around the back is a fenced area, with a lot of woods behind it. And just before night falls, I see this...girl. She looked right at me and ran away."
"Okay? What about her?"
"She ran right through the fence." At this point, I was definitely intrigued. I urged him to tell me what she looked like.
"That's the thing, you know? She...she had two heads." I had kinda laughed a little, more in disbelief than anything. I had definitely seen weirder things myself, but that was a first. But he laughed with me a bit, shaking his head.
"Yeah, that's how I reacted. I didn't really believe it." He sobered a little. "Until I was talking to one of the workers." The light of the flames danced off his dark eyes.
"He comes to me, all pale and wide-eyed. I ask him if he's okay. He doesn't say anything at first, and then he comes out with it. Says there's some freaky girl that hangs out around the woods. I immediately remembered what I saw, and asked him if she had two heads. The guy's head shoots up, and he whispers that I had seen her, too. He says he tried to tell his coworkers but they laughed him off, and he thought he was going crazy." But my dad was more concerned with the fact they clearly weren't crazy, which meant there was something in the area. Some creature with two heads. A spirit or ghost or whatever. My dad normally doesn't drive during the night, but that night he got the hell outta dodge.
The worker said he planned to quit, but my dad never went back, so we don't know what became of that. I just thought it was crazy that this worker knew exactly what my dad had seen before they even talked, so they saw the same thing. The guy would have no reason to lie either, since he could scare off potential customers with that kind of talk. I just thought it was a relatively scary thing to see. My family has seen all kinds of stuff, but I imagine it's not much compared to the things my father has seen.
