Strange room in basement

So this isn't a story but, this is something that will probably give a few people goosebumps. So I moved into a new place after my family lost our house. Its a really old house that has a cold cellar in the basement. On the outside i noticed a lock ripped off the door, to keep the things inside. Not sure if this was common for cold cellars. I open the door and use my phone light to see inside. There are piles of wood stacked up to hold up two mattresses. On the floor next to it is a little girl's tinker bell blanket. In the corner there is a lone chair, and a bucket on the floor. The window is boarded up. The rest of it is empty except for more old wood. Now these could all be very strange coincidences, but the people who lived here before me were definitely odd. It was an older man and woman(not married) and a little girl who they claim her mother gave her away to him (she was a drug addict) They moved out after the older woman overdosed on heroin in the upstairs bedroom.
