Creepy true story's from Reddit

My scary childhood story...

I'm 16 now so this happened a little while back, I was about 9 or 10 (I can't remember exactly) and a friend and I went out to eat with our parents, for a bit more context, my parents are both detectives however this friend and I only went with our moms. I went up to the buffet to serve my self and as I came back to the table I noticed a guy walk in, he was tall with thin greasy grey hair. He was a skinny guy with glasses and he was wearing a black suit and well polished shoes, so polished in fact that you could see your reflection, he glanced over at me and smile, I was awkward and still am so I glanced over at him and quickly glanced backed down at my plate, I sat down at my table and the man sat down on the table next to mine, he was holding a large presentation folder, he looked like a business man, or so he may have been.

As I was about to shovel a spoon full of food in my mouth, I glanced up and he looked at me, he started asking my friend and I creepy questions like "What school do you go to?" "How old are you?" "You can sit here if you would like" my mom being a cop obviously new about stranger danger, she asked the man to politely leave us alone as we ate our food but he ignored her, he wouldn't stop asking us these questions, I wasn't that scared when we left, I just thought it was a bit odd. Then I found out the day later, he was a registered child sex offender who had raped someone before (in my moms words it was "he's a bad man who did bad things to kids") my mom only found this out by looking at the database at work. The court case happened as he wasn't allowed to have contact with us because he was dangerous.

I'm now 16 and a few months ago, I was with my dad getting my haircut, I glanced up from staring at the side walk and the man was there, he gave me the same creepy smile, he had the same grey, thin greasy hair, same glasses wearing a blue shirt and jeans, only this time when I glanced down, I noticed that he had a tag on his ankle... creepy sex offender man, let's not meet again.
