My junior year of college I moved into my first apartment with two other roommates. We all got along very well and even allowed one another to borrow things such as clothes, accessories, hair straighteners etc.
The first few months we lived there everything was fine. However, the set up to our apartment was a bit strange. The door that connected to our kitchen lead to the front of the building while the door in our living room lead to the back parking lot (it doesn't sound strange but you've got to be there to understand what I mean). This apartment consisted of a large kitchen, living room, and small hallway which connected our 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. When home alone we all felt strange vibes. We constantly talked about how sketchy our apartment felt, especially when the lights to the kitchen and living room were off which lead to the majority of the apartment being pitch black. This leads me to my strange and creepy experience....
It was a typical weekend in college where my friends and I set up plans to go out to the bars and enjoy some time off from studying. This particular weekend one of my roommates traveled back home to spend time with her family. As for my other roommate, she was spending the night at her boyfriends apartment which means I was left alone for the night. Earlier that day I had spent a couple hours deep cleaning my room. I washed all of my clothes, vacuumed, cleaned off my desk... basically made it spotless. Not a single thing was out of place in my room.
Fast forward to about 8pm. All of my roommates are gone and I'm getting ready to go out. First, I apply my makeup in my room since all of my makeup necessities are kept in my desk. After doing my makeup I put everything away so that it was spotless (not trying to make a mess after I spent the day cleaning). This is where things get weird. Keep in mind I had not been drinking as I was home alone and didn't want to be a loser pre gaming by myself. I had decided to get ready early so that I could head over to my best friends apartment and drink with her.
As I stated earlier, my roommates and I always borrowed from one another. Well this night I planned on curling my hair and in order to do that I needed a heat protectant glove so that I wouldn't burn my fingers in the process. I did not own a glove or curling wand at the time so I always borrowed from my roommates. At this point I'm in the bathroom and I've got the curling wand but no glove. I looked in all of the bathroom drawers and even searched my roommates room for her glove. I decided I didn't have much time to keep looking for a pointless glove so I decided to curl my hair without it. I get a good portion of my hair curled but decided to take a quick break. I walk out of my bathroom to my bedroom for a quick second. As I walk into my bedroom I set a towel that I had in my hand onto the bed and turn around to head back toward the bathroom. As I turn around i see an object out of the corner of my eye.... yes, you guessed it. It's the glove. The glove that I was looking for. This glove was placed perfectly on the corner of my desk. But you may be wondering "it's a stupid glove who cares??" Well back track with me. I cleaned my room that day so it was spotless and had just cleaned my desk off after doing my makeup. Not a single thing was on my desk. Prior to curling my hair, I searched for the glove which is usually kept in the bathroom or my roommates bedroom because it is her glove. This glove is never kept in my room and I was the only person in my apartment at this time. Seeing that glove made my heart race like no other.
Many times in that apartment things from the pantry would go missing then reappear. My roommate even heard our TV turn on by itself while she was home alone. Small happenings here and there but no real encounters. I'm still baffled with my experience because there's no explanation for that glove to be on my desk. To this day I can clearly remember the terror running through my body seeing an object in a place where it had never been. Has anyone had experiences with objects showing up in odd places?
