I saw it too

When I was in my first year of junior high school, school events were so fun and were serious at the same time. Back then, you see, there were just around 360 students in our high school all in all so whenever there were school activities like a camp, the admin would group random students from each class and level in one group. Due to that, students learned socialising with their juniors/seniors. And to tell you, we were able to have fun while being competitive.

A week or two before a school activity, teams would be announced and members would start meeting and practicing for the different games, competitions, and whatnot. One day, our group practice took so long since everything was being more intense as the activity drew nearer. The sun had set already when we finished and I left my bag in our classroom (yup we didn't have lockers back then). Our room was located in one of the oldest buildings in the campus, same building with the faculty rooms. There were stories of a ghost that lurked around the building specially at night. As a freshman that year, I was kinda buying it. Good thing I had a classmate who belonged to the same group as I was and who also left his stuff in our classroom. Almost all the lights in the building were turned off when we left it and a bright light coming out of the gym was the only source we had to see the pathway to the main gate of the campus. The light shone from our left side and the walls of the old building was on our immediate right. Our shadows were casted on the wall, almost as tall as we were.

My friend and I were talking about the upcoming school event when I noticed a shadow on the wall almost as tall as our shadows. It was of a person's going opposite to our shadows' direction even though there was no one in front of us. And who else would go to the old building at that time? I just shrugged it off until I saw in my peripheral view the shadow completely joined ours and continued its way to the old building. I stopped talking at the time and told my friend to hurry up for we may miss our school services.

Once we reached the gate my friend told me that he saw something while we were walking. And I said "a shadow that was going opposite our way".

He just stared at me and said "yeah and I couldn't respond to our chat as I was creeped out by it"

"yeah, me too. I saw it too."
