[I just finished an exam so celebratory updatee]

It's all too much to process. Your hands are shaking as you clench them into fists looking down at them as they bore into the table. Jin offered you tea but not even food could comfort you right now.

This was a life changing discovery.

You... You were light years away. You were a whole universe across from home. You....

You were forced to be here. But someone you had never met. By someone who just needed guinea pigs for his experiment and out of 7 billion people chose you. Chose you, Y/N for this task.

You.

And it wasn't just that. It wasn't just you. It was seven other people whose lives were torn away. Who were planted here like fruit plucked from a tree regardless of their own growth, their own desires. They have lost everything as well. All of humanity, the sound and smells and sights and touch of an ordinary, safe life.

It was Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook. Seven people the Earth lost including you.

You couldn't stop shaking, watching your own fingers vigorously vibrate in front of you as you remember Jin. That indescribable look when he realized he may never, ever, see his children again. Never see them grow, watch them marry, and love their grandchildren.

It has broken your heart like nothing else has ever done.

And stepping on those pieces was Yoongi. A tear trickles down your cheek as you think of Yoongi, that pure genuine gummy smile.

"I-I was in love."

You squeeze your eyes shut wanting to escape from your own thoughts. You couldn't even imagine how Yoongi must be feeling. His heart would be burning with the toxic flames of his own cigarettes. Like Jin, he was missing the one he loved like crazy. And now, he may never meet her again.

You let out a gasp, balling fists so hard your knuckles turned white. This was insane. Absolutely crazy but absolutely real and so true. You didn't want to believe it, you wanted to feel like there was another answer. Like this was all some prolonged nightmare.

But you had grown too gullible in this work to believe even yourself. Especially when the facts lay clear to you in one damn thick yellow folder.

Your head hits the table with a bang. You'd never felt so low in your life. At this point was life... Even worth the life? If you tried, would you live to see your friends again? Your parents again? You... You were so far away that you couldn't even imagine the distance.

SO far away.

"You okay?" Jimin's voice reaches your gloom like a beacon. You look through your blurry vision to see him sliding smoothly onto a stool across you, on the table.

You look up from your head in your hands at his cute, worried looking expression as he leans forward in empathy. He tilts his head softly to the side as he watches your trembling face.

"I don't understand, " You mumble your voice a mess. "Too much is going on. It's too hard to take it all in."

Jimin doesn't say anything as he waits. He sits in comfortable patience waiting for you to pour yourself out. But you've already learned that by doing that, you just make it worse for everyone.

"I just... " You begin, exhaling a shuddering breath. "I feel so helpless. So used."

Another tear trickles down your cheek and you look down, refusing to look weak in front of Jimin. You knew out of all of them he was the most sensitive and you don't want him to pity you or watch you cry, for that matter.
