You yawn out loud. You'd searched for hours and hours but it had been impossible to find a single constellation. All the stars looked the same, you couldn't tell one from the next and none of it had no longer made sense. You'd blamed it on the view, that you didn't have the right angle and called it a day but it made you feel restless to just lie around here in your bed. Were you just going to give up like that? If you couldn't get home this way you'd need to come up with some other plan.
Deciding to sleep on it, you move to shut the door to your sleeping chamber. However, just as you grab the handle, you see a figure pass by under. As your chamber was on the ceiling it was easy to see anyone pass by, on their way to the toilet or something. But it was way past everyone had tucked in. There was usually no movement at this time.
Curiously, you poke your head out into the corridor. Without a doubt your eyes catch on the figure of Taehyung snooping around by himself again. He was unmistakable because he always stood out whenever he tried to dress anonymous.
"Taehyung!" you hiss, reaching out a hand to wave him over. He freezes at the sound of his name being called. Caught red-handed he turns around to see your upper body sticking out of the ceiling.
"Why is it always you?" you groans, gliding back towards you, pouting.
"What are you doing?" you demand. You look behind him, trying to guess from his starting direction where he was headed to. It was towards the back end of the spacecraft, so either he was going to check on the engines or...
You smack him in instinct, eyes going wide. "You're going out again, aren't you?"
"Think about it, Y/N," he tries to seduce you into letting him do as he wants again. "There were so many more stars up there than from what we can see inside here. There's more of a chance to spot-"
"You're insane," you cut him off. "How are you even sure you're going to find anything? It's literally impossible."
"It can't hurt to try."
"No," leaning out your door, you grasp onto his shirt sleeves so he doesn't move away. "You can't do that. It's too risky."
"It worked the first time," he persists, adamant. "I know that with a wider scope we have more of a chance. I just want to see it once more, I know it's going to work, I just know. If I still can't make out anything I'll give up, I promise. Just-"
"You can't go up there, alone," you argue back. "What if something happens?"
He presses his lips together in a wide, cheeky smile. "Then come with me."
"Why do I-"
The toilet door suddenly shoots open, white light flooding into the dark corridor. Taehyung turns, heart pounding towards the light to face the intruder. Your body jumps, startled by the interruption and pierced with fear. However, as you were hanging upside down and half out, you lose your balance at once, slipping out of the chamber with your hands now clutching tightly onto Taehyung's shoulders dragging your body out. Falling weightlessly into the corridor you fall onto Taehyung's form, embracing him in a sort of awkward hug. Clinging onto him, as if he could keep you safe from whatever danger had shown itself, the both of you turn to the dark form standing in midst of the bathroom light.
"J-jungkook?"
Jungkook stares, mouth-open, at the sight in front of him. He shuts the door behind him violently, eyes wide. You looks from you to Taehyung suspiciously.
It's not what you think.
"What are you guys doing?" he voices out, a little unsurely as if he was afraid of the answer. suspiciously. You sigh, moving away from Taehyung as the panic dies down. "I knew you guys were up to something since last time."
