You sit in your seat, heart pounding with nervousness and excitement and strangely, fear. You were not just afraid of what was going to happen, how Hoseok and Namjoon had planned this but what was going to happen if you succeeded. You were afraid of returning to Earth, seeing it all again because it was unfamiliar now. The fact that you already had expectations somehow highlighted that fear even more.

I trust them.

I trust them too but...

Your thoughts are interrupted by a sudden jerk forward that has you clutching your seat. You look around frantically only to find Jimin and Jin on either side of you. Why were you seated next to cowards, couldn't you be sitting next to Jungkook or Yoongi who seemed so confident in themselves? You breath in and out, trying to calm your nerves. It was ironic how seconds ago you said you trusted them and now you were more than ready to prepare for death.

Because right now you had 99% chance of getting burned alive.

It had been nearly 25 minutes since OMS engines had been fired in order to slow the orbiter down and easy passage towards Earth. This meant that you probably close to the upper atmosphere. The RFC thrusters that had been fired next would have pitched the orbiter over so that the bottom part now faced the atmosphere, making the nose of the tip headed facing downwards towards Earth. By your guesses, Hoseok would be burning the leftover fuel right now as a safety precaution as that area normally encountered the highest heat in re-entry. It scared you that you couldn't tell what was going on up front and you didn't even know if voicing your suggestions was a good idea because you might just distract them. On top of it, it's so dark with all the lights off and everything.

Whoever the hell the person that made you go through this, you were going to hunt him down the second you landed on Earth.

No radios, no transmitters, literally no one on Earth knew you guys are coming. You close your eyes, praying to whatever you believe in to ensure safe passage and let everyone live. You can't bear ending it here. Your prayers turn into rap as you feel that familiar shake begin to take over the ship again. The engines rolling out their last mechanisms, the rumbling takes over the entire at a point that the turbulence is dizzying. And then, for the first time since you'd launched off into this space you feel the spacecraft physically move, taking the eight of you along with it.

You'd never been on a speed train or a rollercoaster. But you imagined that if you'd ever dared to sit on a combination of both that went about 1700 miles per hour this is exactly what it would be like. An incredible force pushes you into a timeless forceful thrust. Your head feels like it's going to burst from the pressure and the deafening roar that has consumed you all. Black spots dot your vision and you can't breathe.

A strange heat starts to crawl over the spaceship, building up and intensifying by ever fragment in time that you it's like an airless heat-wave cooking you alive. The walls flash red and you swear it almost smells like steam. With the insane velocity, the pressure of the fall, of piercing the atmosphere and this flashing heat that you can taste on your tongue your body feels like its scalding your skin to ashes.

It wasn't working. As predicted, Namjoon could see through the frightening nose of the ship that waves of heat and wind was breaking the ship. The friction was cracking it bit by bit and you were all feeling it. He couldn't breathe and his vision was fading fast. He clenches his fists, a sudden regret flashing in him. His plan had to work. Against the jolting he turns slightly looka t Hoseok who looks entirely devoid of life. If anything, he looks dead yet writhing to Namjoon. That sight kills his confidence. If the main driver was nearly passed out he couldn't even assure that everyone behind him was alive.
