The house that Bang Shi Hyuk introduced the both of you two was something that felt so familiar.

It was an attachment of the office, a decent, medium sized building in the back with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room. The way he kept the place running was a marvel but things were a bit outdated. No doubt, he'd gone bankrupt after financing the whole project and judging by the furnishing you supposed that during those seven years a lot of things had had to be sold as well.

It was hardly anything grand but it did give a sense of home. These rooms were yours, something you'd grown up in, photos in your room of you and a girl called Adora whom you did not even remember. Plushies on your bed, books all along the living room and a tiny television opposite the brown couch. These were your things, materials that had been part of your past that you were now reunited with. It gave you a strangely nostalgic feeling but it was almost forced because you couldn't remember being here at all.

You might as well have been introduced to a new house.

Sitting down at the round table in the living room, Bang Shi Hyum gestures for the both of you to join him, pointing at the fridge kindly

"Anything to eat and drink? You seem a little underweight."

Namjoon scoffs at that, pulling out a chair anywah. "Yeah, a tiny broken spaceship that you expected us to fix. And even after that, it fit only half a tank and hardly ten kilos of food? What did you expect?"

"You did take longer than I expected," he agrees, nodding. "According to my calculations you're a couple of years late."

"Are you kidding?" Namjoon repeats, getting angrier with the lack of sympathy. "It's a miracle we're even here, do you know that? I mean how did you even think we'd make it back? There was no space map or anything, only a safety radar. If you think ethics was your only problem, you're forgetting the fact that you wiped all of our memories, NONE of us are in the least experienced with aeronautic technology and that there's an entire universe in between to travel?" Namjoon rants, getting angrier.

"What do you mean?" Bang Shi Hyuk, leans back, ignoring Namjoon's impatience and looking confused instead. "The space journey was supposed to be the easiest part of the whole thing."

His confusion passes over to you and Namjoon as you look at him with wide eyes. The more you spoke with him the more insane and somehow genius he felt. The space travel was supposed to be the easiest? With Jimin hardly breathing, Hoseok half-dead, you and Jungkook forced to share ration, Yoongi threatening to eat Taehyung...

The million stars, the depleting oxygen, the giving up.

He was just throwing all of that away, discarding of it like something unnecessary? That last stretch of the journey had been the most painful, enduring part that testing all eight of you not just physically but mentally as well. It had you all hanging on a worn thread of life.

"That's unexpected..." Bang Shi Hyuk continues, furrowing his eyebrows. "That's not possible... unless..." His eyes suddenly go wide in realisation.

"Unless what?" Namjoon demands.

"You tampered with it, didn't you?" he raises his eyebrows, incredulous. A small smile passes his face as he looks at you like you were the dumbest people on earth. " 'A broken spaceship' that's what you said, wasn't it? It wasn't broken at all. It was perfectly monitored for a week's travel."

"What?"

"If you guys messed around with a vehicle, it's not my fault you suffered. I mean, how were you even willing to take the risk? All you had to do was fuel it and fly it out. The road was set the second you were in space."
