"So," Hoseok says with an air of drawing a conclusion. He waves the gummy worm around on his finger like a surrender flag. "I'm the only one left. The powerless one."
"Cherish it," you advise him, chewing on your own, lifelessly to match your own sour state of mind. "I miss it already."
"What do you think I'll get?" Hoseok continues happily with sudden hope, ignoring you. If anything, he couldn't let the misery of others drag him down for too long. "Telekinesis? Elemental powers? Time travel?"
"If it's time travel you better go back in time and kill me," Yoongi leans backwards, folding his arms. "It feels like I've lived nine times already. I don't want to do this anymore, we don't seem to be getting anywhere."
"Maybe you already have a power," Namjoon offers. "Like I've had mine all along and I never knew it. Who knows how long the rest of us have had ours without knowing it?"
"I think mine's been around for a while," Jimin nods, licking the sourness of his fingers almost proudly. You roll your eyes, annoyed.
Pfft, he's got a good one that's why.
I know right.
Jungkook's immediate answer surprises you and causes a smile to break over your lips. You hadn't expected that but like Jin had said, it was kind of nice to be secretly conversing with someone without uttering a word. He meets your glance and winks, charming you in that action.
"Me too," he says right after, addressing everyone else out loud. "I'd been hearing weird things lately but I never really paid attention to it. Thought it was my own random thoughts or like...the wind or something."
"It was pretty scary actually," Taehyung giggles, pressing his fork against his lips. "He started freaking out saying he was hearing ghosts and all. I thought he had gone insane."
"Wait," you say, a thought striking you. You turn from Hoseok to Jungkook eyes furrowing. "How did you know that it was me? It might as well have been Hobi, he was powerless also."
"At first, I really didn't know," he answers truthfully. "But then I heard you think of going down the hall and to the left. I remembered that was your room and yeah..." He lets out a laugh suddenly eyes shining. "It was pretty interesting though," he grins at you micheviously before looking at the whole room eager to spill your secrets. "She kept thinking about the food and-"
"Jungkook!" You shout at him, interrupting his gossip. "You better keep your mouth shut or I'll say stuff about you also."
"What stuff," he teases you. Puffing his chest confidently, he declares. "I don't have anything to hide."
Although I really love banana milk.
His eyes go wide, caught-red handed. Turning his head slowly to face him you smirk wide, extremely satisfied by how he'd immediately summoned something he had to hide right after he'd stated he didn't. He lowers his eyes form yours, not wanting to make it obvious.
Keep your mouth shut, Y/N.
If you'll keep yours.
The others look at this silence between the two of you, a little bewildered and confused as you hadn't said anything but seemed to be reacting to each other.
"They're talking aren't they," Hoseok wonders.
"And to think only minutes ago they were whining about it."
"Hyung," Namjoon says suddenly. He hadn't spoken for a while, as if he'd been deep in thought. All heads look towards him, as if the shy kid had finally answered, especially all those who were candidates for being Namjoon's hyung. He's staring at Hoseok, as if he's concocting a serious plan against him. The way his chin juts out and his gaze is narrowed was a little mysterious.
