"OH, MY GOD!" Victoria could've swore that her eyes were deceiving her when she strode into the kitchen, a morning where she accompanied by not only her daughter and Nate, but also Chuck Bass. The young man demanding to spend some time with his best friend's daughter. The young man who had Victoria gasping out of shock as he stood at the kitchen sink, the water from the tap running as he rinsed beneath it. Chuck was known for having people do chores for him, paying them and underpaying them, it was never a thought that Victoria had that she would come to a time where she'd find the man himself standing at a sink washing anything.
With Victoria's loud announce of disbelief, Nate hurried towards her, parting ways from the dining table as he was still clearing up breakfast from what she had made for them all. Chuck sometimes missed her cooking, even though he had a chef conjuring up whatever he placed, the food Victoria made felt warm and homey, giving him comfort he lacked as he lived in a penthouse of a hotel once more. "What?" Nate feared something had happened to Emery, but she was attached to Chuck's side within his arm that was not beneath the running lukewarm water. "What is it?"
"I think I've just seen a miracle." Victoria exclaimed as she caught herself on the doorframe of the kitchen, as Chuck peeked at her from the corner of his eye, only finding the dramatics of the girl absurd. "Chuck Bass washing up."
"You haven't seen anything such." Chuck assured before lifting up for their view a ring teether, having bought it for Emery after the chats the night before about her trouble teething. "I was rinsing this. You said Emery was teething." He handed it to the baby, a tight grip being fastened on the pink ring that she begun to nibble on.
Nate grinned. "She likes it."
Chuck was rather pleased with how his thoughtful act worked successfully, and it caused a comforting smile to dart down at Emery that drew Victoria to using her phone to snap a photo of the pair. Immediately, Chuck's smile faltered. "What was that for?" He quizzed.
Victoria carelessly shrugged. "The memory book."
Before Chuck thought to protest, wanting the picture to be deleted as he has always been such a Scrooge in regards to family photo, his phone rang, buzzing through the ears of Victoria and Nate, even causing Emery to stir. "I got to take this. If you'll excuse me." He remained holding onto the baby Archibald as he parted from the pair wanting to whisper down his phone.
