ARABELLA'S POV
I smiled sweetly while brushing my doll's hair. Ito yong pinakapaborito kong manika sa lahat because our grandpa gave this to me when I turned 6. I was very happy that time because that was my first time having a gift on my own birthday. Actually, it was not just my birthday but it was also a birthday of my twin sister Aranella. You read it right. Twin sister. I was always a shadow to Aranella.
Aranella was the best of all.
Aranella there.
Aranella here.
Aranella everywhere.
I deeply sighed. I look around when I feel something behind me, and there I saw my twin sister smirking. She's walking towards me like a beauty queen.
"Oh!my little bitchy itchy sister was playing again with her ewwy ewwy doll. Lolo protected you noong nakidnap kayo! Aranella suddenly grab my doll at tinapak tapakan nya ito. I cried and cried while telling her to stop.
"Stop it Aranella! Please!" I begged her but it was no use, she still continue ruining my precious doll. I stand up, and grab her hair to stay her away from my doll.
"Ouch! Let me go!
Our parents witnessed that scenario.
"Arabella! Stop it! What are you doing to your sister!" My father pulled me away from her. I tried to reason out but my father never listen to me.
"Dad! Arabella tried to killed me!" sigaw ni Aranella. I was totally shocked, hindi ako makagalaw. I remained silent all the time.
I don't want to waste my time explaining my side. I was just nothing.
"Arabella, you give me no choice! I will send you to London! That will be your punishment for hurting your sister! You should stay away from us. You're a jinxed in this family!" my dad firmly said. While my sister smirking at me. I looked at my mom but she looked away.
Wala talagang nagmamahal sa akin. I felt like I'm being neglected, rejected, and unwanted.
"Hoy!"
My friend Ellie waves her hand in front of me. I smiled sweetly at her.
"What's bothering you Arabella? Ano bang iniisip mo ha?" she said while her hand is in her waist.
I moved my head side to side.
Nandito kami ngayon sa isang restaurant dahil tinawagan nya ako at may importante daw syang sasabihin sa akin.
"It's nothing Ellie, I remember something but it's not important anyway" I answered. "So? Ano nga ba yong sinabi mo kanina?" I asked her to change the topic. She snorted and I just laughed.
"Well, ang sabi ko kanina, your father called me because he can't reached you. He told me that you should go home in the Philippines because something happened and they needed your presence there." Agad akong napatayo sa narinig ko.
"Really? They just called because of that?! Well ano na naman kaya ang ginawa ni Aranella this time at talagang nag effort pa si Daddy na tawagan ako" I was really disappointed with them.
All I want is for them to called me and ask my situation here, what do I expect from them? Tumawa ako ng pagak.
"Arabella, I know na wala ako sa tamang lugar para panghimasukan ka. But I think you should go home, it's the best thing for you. Its been 18 years Arabella, you are now 24 years old. Maybe your twin sister already changed, I believed that people change Arabella, all you have to do is to move on and forgive her." I was stunned by her litany. Maybe Ellie was right, it's time for me to forget and forgive. I cannot promise but I will try. In the end napagpasyahan ko na bumalik ng Pilipinas. Maybe Ellie was right again and again. Why not give it a try diba?
"Book me a flight Ellie" I told her and she was surprised. She hugged me and I hugged her back.
Ellie Salvador was my childhood best friend until now. She was the only family I have here in London. Her mother, Yaya Lolita stands as my mother too. I have nothing when they sent me here. But I was thankful though dahil hindi ko naman mararating kung ano ang meron ako ngayon kong hindi dahil sa kanila.
I am Arabella McHeaven Fuentabella, one of the most known artist in Asia. All of my paintings were sold in a billions. My identity was remain secret simula pa noong naging sikat ako. It's my choice. My identity was confidential and many are interested to know who was the person behind the successful painting, na kahit mga maharlika ay nagkakainteres.
My life has changed when I met my true family. I love them and they also love me. I spent Christmas and new year with them. They are now my happiness. I don't know what happened but I feel something isn't right that is why my dad was so eager to send me back in the Philippines. I cross the bridge when I get there. They hated me to the core.
She's the one who heal the wounds I have in my heart. She's very loving and she love me like her own daughter. Ellie used to tell me noon na "we are sisters right? So my mother is also your mother Bella".
"No need for you to worry Yaya, I promise I'll be good. Its been 18 years and I miss my old home. Besides, babalik naman ako dito and I promise na lahat kayo may pasalubong sa akin" I immediately hugged her. "I will miss you Yaya, huwag nyo pong pabayaan si Ellie ha. Then call me when something happen here, okay?" sabi ko sa kanya sabay halik sa kanyang noo."And Yaya, before I forgot, Ellie told me na hindi muna daw sya makakauwi dahil may gagawin pa sya sa school nila" Yaya Lolita just nodded.
I went upstairs and go to my room.
I already graduated and I am now teaching arts in the one of the most prestigious schools here in London. While, Ellie preceded her second course which is nursing. The two of us were sisters not by blood but by heart. I love her so much and she also love me like how I love her.
Noong nagtapos ako, I sent my parents an email telling them about my graduation.
Kapag naluluha ako sa kakaisip sa kanila sa Pilipinas, Yaya Lolita and Ellie was there beside me.
