As soon as the car arrived at the airport. Deanna helped Jema get off it. They bid goodbye to the driver and went inside the terminal.
"Deanna? Saan tayo pupunta? Tsaka bakit biglaan? Anong surprise na naman ba ito?" Jema asked curiously.
"Wait, isa isa lang love. Check-in muna tayo." Deanna replied.
She took Jema's hand and they walk towards the check-in counter. Deanna presented their tickets and IDs.
"Do you want something to eat?" Deanna asked as they head to the waiting bay.
"I'm good babe. Pero you better start answering my questions kasi bigla na lang tayong aalis eh hindi ako nakapagpaalam kay Manang. Mag-aalala kasi yun eh." Jema responded.
"Don't worry about Manang. I already talked to her kanina. And we're here, upo muna tayo love..." Deanna said as they sat on the first row seat of the waiting area.
"Cebu? Keilan ka pa nagbook? Eh paano pag hindi ako sumama? Ano ba talaga ang nangyayari?" Jema asked again.
Deanna smiled at her and cupped Jema's face.
"Love, do you trust me?" Deanna asked.
Jema nodded.
"Do you love me?" Deanna asked again.
"Of course!" Jema replied.
"I want to make things right. Ayaw na kita saktan love. I'm making you the happiest." Deanna said thoughtfully.
"I don't understand love. You are already making me the happiest. I just don't understand itong nangyayari." Jema responded.
"Just trust me love. I will explain everything all throughout this trip. Wag mo sana akong iwan." Deanna said as she look at Jema's eyes to find assurance.
"I promise I will never ever let go of you babe. Kayanin natin together!" Jema said smiling.
"Thank you love!" Deanna said before she kissed Jema on the forehead then hugged her.
Magkatabi silang nag-aantay sa waiting bay. Kaya sumandal si Jema kay Deanna at hiniga ang ulo nito sa balikat nito. She took Deanna's hand and intertwined it with hers.
She smiled while saying, "I am really happy. Ito lang ata yung pagkakataon na masaya ako kahit hindi ko lubusang nauunawaan ang mga nangyayari. Pero love, hindi ko pa din talaga mapigilan na hindi mag-isip. I mean, naalala mo na ba lahat kaya naalala mong mahal mo ako? Or mahal mo ako as how you see me now..."
"Does it really matter to you babe?" Deanna asked.
"Ahmmmm, what matters is that we're okay and that you love me too. Pero you can't blame me naman if I have questions naman diba?" Jema answered.
"Babe, gusto ko na talagang sabihan sayo ang lahat pero I have to also carry the pain of waiting kasi this trip is all about us. I just don't want to ruin the moment of us discovering and unfolding things together with our families." Deanna explained.
Napaayos naman ng upo si Jema at hinarap si Deanna. "Our families?" Tanong ni Jema.
Tumango lang si Deanna.
"My family and your family?" Jema asked again.
"Babe, our family. We'll be with them very soon. Kaya nga ako excited eh. I was hoping na surprise sana pero dahil sobrang curious ka, ayan may isang hindi na surprise!" Deanna laughed.
"Dapat na ba akong kabahan?" Jema asked seriously.
"Hey! It'll be fine. We'll do this together. We'll show them we love each other talaga. Besides, alam ko naman na hindi mo ako iiwan diba?" Deanna replied.
