Umayos ng upo si Deanna at sumandal sa headboard ng kama nya habang humarap ito kay Jema. Samantalang si Ponggay ay umupo sa dulong bahagi ng kama nya.
"So I went home na kanina and was about to sleep. Kaso hindi ako makatulog because I was thinking about me going back to volleyball. Naisipan kong pumunta sa room mo Deanns and tried to check your book shelves. Then may napansin akong papel na nakausli, so out of curiosity kinuha ko." Paunang kwento ni Jema.
Nakatingin naman sina Deanna at Ponggay sa kanya waiting for her to continue the story.
"It was your hand writing Deanns. And it says, 'If you are about to give up your dreams, think about it a million times. Don't let anyone hinder you from reaching it because your dreams will stay forever. Giving up is an option but staying strong and true to yourself is a must! If they truly love you, they will let you and help you reach your goal.'" saad ni Jema.
Pagkarinig nito ay naramdaman ni Deanna ang bahagyang pagkirot ng ulo nya pero pinabayaan nya lang ito at nagfocus sa pakikinig kay Jema.
"So I immediately called Jia and Ly and told them that I need to see them agad. Kaya nagpadrive ako kay manong pabalik dito." Jema continued.
"And?" Ponggay asked.
Tumingin muna si Jema kay Deanna before she said, "You told me to think about getting back to volleyball and that you want me to pursue my dream. So I told Jia and Ly that I want to go back to the team. Jia was so happy about it and so as Ly pero Ly asked me few times if gusto ko ba daw or baka napipilitan lang ako."
"I told you to do it, not because of me or the past. I told you to consider and do it because it's what you want." Deanna said softly.
Ngumiti si Jema and said, "I decided to be part of the team again, because I want to play volleyball. It's my first love and it's the reason naman talaga why ako pumasok dito sa Ateneo. I wanted to pursue my dream. Our dream Deanns! To have a championship together and to play for our country too."
"So yung dream ni Deanna is also your dream ate Jema? Eh bakit ka ba kasi huminto?" Tanong ni Ponggay.
Napabuntong hininga si Jema and said, "I don't know if this is the right time to say this pero if Deanna really wants to know, I'm willing to tell you my side of the story."
Nagkatinginan naman sina Deanna at Jema. Jema is trying to find the answers through Deanna's eyes and Deanna feels it that she can't avoid Jema's gaze.
I want to know the truth. I want to know your side of the story Jema. But my head is pounding and I don't know if kakayanin ko.
Why am I like this? Am I afraid to know the truth? Am I scared to figure out bakit ko pinatigil si Jema magvolleyball?
Ilang segundo pang tahimik when Deanna said, "I'm okay for you to tell me your side of the story Jema..."
Nagkatitigan uli sina Jema at Deanna. Pakiramdam ni Deanna na parang nag-uusap ang isip nila ni Jema.

"I'm afraid sa totoo lang pero I'll tell you what I know. Can you promise me na kakausapin mo ako after this? Because hindi ko talaga kaya mawala ka uli sa akin." Jema said sincerely.
