Amara's P.O.V
I lied in bed with Brennan as we watched a Netflix movie. Brennan had an arm around me as we watched Murder Mystery with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. I heard the doorbell ring making Brennan pause the TV.
"Who is it?" I asked him.
"I'll go check," He said before getting up. I waited a bit before getting out of bed as well. I walked downstairs to see Brennan opening the door.
"What are you doing here?" I heard. I looked down to see a really beautiful girl walk in.
"Heard you were getting married stupid!" The girl said.
"Did mom tell you that?" Brennan ask. It clicked on me right when he said that. Brennan's sister.
Brennan has an older sister named Beatrice. She was three years older than Brennan was. Beatrice was studying in London to become a lawyer. When she was 14 to 16, she was a model. She still looked like a model.
"Yes she did. She told me a lot of things. Now where's Amara?" She asked Brennan.
"Upstairs. Let me go get her. Go ahead and relax in the living room while I get her," I heard. I quickly walked back into the room and sat on the bed again. When Brennan came back, I was acting like I didn't know anything.
"Amara, my sister came for an early visit. I would like for you two to meet," Brennan said to me.
"Okay. Let me look a little more decent," I tell him.
"Alright. We'll be in the living room," Brennan explained. I nodded at him before he left. I quickly got dressed up properly before rushing downstairs. I saw Brennan and his sister sitting near each other as they talked.
"Wow, last time I saw Amara, she was just much younger than us," Beatrice said. Brennan looked over at me before standing up. He stood next to me before putting a hand on my back.
"Amara, this is my younger sister Beatrice," Brennan told me.
"It's nice to meet you," I smiled at her. Beatrice stood up to greet me.
"Hello Amara!" Beatrice said before engulfing me into a hug. I hugged her back.
"Hi," I smiled.
"I've heard so much about you! And read about you but don't worry, I don't trust the tabloids," She winked at me.
"Does mom and dad know you're here?" Brennan asked her. Beatrice sat back down on the love seat while Brennan and I sat on the couch.
"Not yet," She said.
"Where do you plan on staying until the wedding?" Brennan asked her.
"Well I was hoping you'd let me crash here until mom and dad know I'm here," Beatrice asked.
"Alright fine. Why are you home so early?" Brennan asked.
"Wanted to see you earlier," Beatrice tells him.
"I see."
"So Amara, have you gone over the wedding details with your mother and mine?" Beatrice asked me.
"Yes."
"Did they try to make the wedding in their vision?" She asked me. I was confused on how she knew this. Maybe her mom told her?
"Yes," I nodded.
"I bloody knew it. My mom did the same thing to me when I was suppose to marry this millionaire. Of course he cheated on me causing the whole wedding to cancel," Beatrice said.
"Want something to drink or eat Beatrice?" Brennan asked.
"Just water please," She said. Brennan nodded before getting up to go into the kitchen.
"I'm so sorry our parents are forcing you into this marriage," Beatrice said.
"It was also my parents as well who pushed me into this," I tell her.
"Ouch. Well I promise you that I will be the best sister-in-law you'll ever have," She told me.
We walked over to the living room. Beatrice sat on the love seat while Brennan and I sat on the couch.
"When mom told me that you were getting married, I laughed," Beatrice told Brennan.
"Why did you laugh?" Brennan asked.
"You married? When was the last time you were in a serious relationship?" Beatrice questioned him before taking a sip of her water.
"Alright fair point. You know, I can be serious in a relationship," Brennan said.
"Mhm," Beatrice said before rolling her eyes.
"How was London, Beatrice?" I asked, changing the subject.
"It was great! I met a nice guy and he's really sweet," Beatrice tells us.
"A guy? You know what mom and dad would ask," Brennan said.
"Is he rich? Is he connected in any way to the royal family? Does he work in a high class job?" Beatrice mocked.
"And is he?" Brennan asked.
"No to all. He's high middle class and he works as a photographer," Beatrice answered.
"Mom and dad won't approve," Brennan said.
"Yet they set you two up. And they set me up with a man who I knew was trouble," Beatrice pointed out.
"Fair enough."
"I'm going to get some rest. Wake me up for dinner," Beatrice said.
"Do you remember where your room is?" Brennan asked.
"Yes. Good night," Beatrice said before walking away.
"She's nice," I tell Brennan.
"She is. After our parents failed attempt to get her to marry that millionaire, she had privilege rights to do what she wants. They can't say much about the things she does otherwise, she reminds them of what they did to her," Brennan tells me.
"Oh."
"Do you want to help me with dinner? I'm going to make Beatrice's favorite meal," Brennan said.
"Which is what?" I asked.
"Cesar salad then for the main course salmon with salsa," Brennan said.
"Sounds basic," I tell him.
"Yeah but it's good," Brennan smiled.
"Let me wash my hands before we start," I tell him.
