Amara's P.O.V

I packed up all the things I had in the dorm since our semester was almost done. And since I was engaged to Brennan, I could just live with him.

"You know, you could live with Brennan and I," I offered to Jessica.

"I don't want to third wheel. Besides, you two are getting married. You two need your privacy," Jessica assured.

"Can you at least promise me to come over once in a while so we can binge watch some chick flick?" I asked her.

"I promise. Besides, I'm gonna move in with my cousin and her friend so don't worry about me," Jessica smiled. I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," Jessica and I saw together. The two of us laughed a little from our laziness.

"Hey," Brennan smiled as he came in.

"Hi."

"Hey, Brennan!" Jessica smiled.

"Here to just pick up the stuff," Brennan told me.

"Well here's my stuff that I won't be needing in the mean time. Everything else can be picked up after my finals," I explained.

"Whenever they're ready, I'll come help out."

"I'm surprised you're not at work, Brennan," Jessica pointed out.

"My company knows that Amara and I are engaged and that if she needs me for any occasion, I will go to her first."

I looked up at Brennan a little in shock. I did not know that.

"Oh wow. How come I never knew that?" I asked.

"I didn't want you to worry," Brennan shrugged before kissing my head.

"I ship. I seriously do," Jessica told us.

"Thanks," I blushed.

"I will go ahead and take this back to my place. You go and study for your finals," Brennan told me. I nodded over at him. Brennan kissed my temple before walking off.

"I can't believe you found a really great guy who drinks his respect women juice," Jessica joked.

"I can't believe it either," I joked as well.

"So what are your plans during the summer besides wedding planning?" Jessica asked.

"Well I need to go back to California. I'm turning my parent's house into an Airbnb so I'm just gonna clean up some things in the house to get it ready," I explained.

"Really?"

"Yeah. I still want to keep it and I don't want it being empty so I decided to turn it into an Airbnb."

"That's smart. Get some money while you're at it."

"Yeah. The money would go towards the mortgage and the utilities."

"Who's gonna help pay since you're out of state? Don't you need to pay over there in the state?"

"Brennan's parents offered to help out with that. Since I won't be there most of the time, they said that they'll go over to check on it once in a while," I told her.

"That's good."

I stayed over at the library until it closed. As I headed back to my dorm, I stared up at the sky. It made me sad that I couldn't see the stars. Yet again, I couldn't see it back home either.

Jessica was already asleep when I got back. I quietly got dressed for bed before lying down. The only problem right now was that I couldn't sleep. Scrolling through my phone didn't do much. I felt like I had a lot on my mind. Between school and Brennan, I knew I couldn't sleep. Maybe tomorrow night I would have a better chance on sleeping.
