Amara's P.O.V
Work was something interesting. At least for today. As I was waiting for my next couple of tables, I was talking to one of my coworkers.
"Honey, why do you keep working on the Fridays? Aren't you college kids suppose to get drunk or something?" My coworker, Jane, asked. Though she was older than me by a lot, she was still cool to hang out with.
"I don't really have any plans. I just focus on school or work."
"Honey, you need to live your life. You're only young once," Jane told me.
"I know but I just don't have anything too interesting that can excite my life," I tell her. That was somewhat a lie. I had Brennan.
"You should. Listen to me when I say this, your life shouldn't be so plain. Spice it up honey," Jane tells me before walking out of the drink station.
After work, I headed back to my dorm. The moment I walked inside my room, I saw Brennan standing as Jessica was showing him a video.
"Brennan?! What are you doing here?" I asked him. Jessica and Brennan looked up at me as I stood in front of them.
"I wanted to talk to you," Brennan told me.
"How did you get in? How did he get in?" I asked Brennan then Jessica.
"I saw him outside. He said he needed to talk to you," Jessica told me.
"You do?" I asked.
"Yes."
"I'm gonna go to Mallory's room. Text me when you two are done," Jessica winked before leaving.
"We're not going to do anything," I blushed from embarrassment.
"Uh huh."
Once Jessica left, I looked over at Brennan as I put my stuff away.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"I wanted to check up on you. You said you had work tonight."
"I'm fine."
"I know. I just needed some reassurance."
"I could've texted you."
"I didn't want a text."
"Brennan, what are you really doing here?" I questioned. Brennan let out a big sigh before sitting on my bed.
"I wanted to see you."
"Why?"
"I just do," Brennan scoffed.
I walked over and stood in front of him.
"Do you like me?" I asked.
"Of course I like you."
"I mean, like like. Do you like me more than a friend?" I asked him. Brennan stared at me. Brennan reached out and tucked a piece of my hair around my ear.
"And if I said I do?"
"Then I would say that a part of me likes you too but I'm just not sure if I like you the way you like me," I tell him.
"Why?"
"I did started to grow feelings for you but then the incident happened and I just heartbroken and lost those feelings," I tell him.
"I am so sorry about that. I never meant to hurt you in any way."
"I know."
"Can we try again? Let us start all over. I really do like you, Amara."
"We can start over," I smiled at him.
"Good," Brennan said before leaning in and kissing me.

Author's Note: The picture is how I imagine Amara's side of the dorm. Also I'm sorry I haven't written anything in a long time.
