Sixteen

Amara's P.O.V

Today Brennan had to work at his office for a bit. I however had to do some graduation rehearsals. After today's rehearsal, Chris and I were going to have a girls day out.

"Help me avoid Trevor today?" I asked her.

"Of course. Has he tried contacting you since you dumped him?" Chris asked me.

"Yes. He's been texting me non stop," I tell her.

"You want me to take care of it?" She asked.

"No. This is my battle I gotta fight in," I tell her.

"Look at the bright side, we have four more days and we're out of here. We have prom tomorrow and then on Monday, we graduate!" Chris said excitedly.

"Right. Prom," I said with a sad smile.

"I know you and that dick of an ex-boyfriend were suppose together but now you're free from him. Plus you can ask Brennan to hook you up with some male model to make yourself look hotter at prom," Chris tells me.

"Nah. I'd rather have fun with no one than to force myself to go with someone," I tell her. Chris gave me a bit of a pity look.

"I'm fine," I tell her.

"I know," Chris said before hugging me.

After our graduation rehearsal, Chris and I hung out at her house. Chris was writing a new song and I was going through Pinterest. 

"So will you be able to visit me for my birthday and maybe Christmas break?" I asked her.

"Of course. I'll ditch school if I have to," Chris smiled up at me.

"Don't ditch school. I'll understand," I smiled.

"So what are you allowed to do after you and Brennan get married?" Chris asked me.

"I'll still be able to do stuff. I just won't be able to meet new guys," I tell her.

"Alright."

"Besides, I convinced Brennan to move meetings around so we can come see you in Canada for your birthday."

"Wow really? He's already wrapped around your finger now huh?" Chris smirked at me. I felt myself blush a little.

"What? No. He's just really understanding," I tell her. 

"Uh huh sure. Look, if you like him, go for it. You two are going to be married anyway," Chris tells me. I shook my head at her before throwing a pillow at her.

"You know I'm right!" Chris laughed.
