"Wake up, miss! Your classes start today and Mr. Kim would be disappointed to hear that you missed them."

Light shined through the curtains and into eyes. You looked to your right at the alarm clock and saw that it was 8:00. You let out a yawn and stretched.

"Does everyone in the palace wake up this early?" You asked.

"Oh, heavens no! The prince doesn't leave his room till 9:20 and the Queen wakes at 9:10. Mr. Kim ordered that you wake up early. Said it would do some good."

Your eyes turned to slits as you saw him planning your schedule. You imagined him making it hardcore for you. He probably thinks a farmer kid like me can't be as well mannered as the Royals... I'll show him.

You sat up and threw the covers off your body. The maid was taken by surprise from your sudden behavior.

"Do o have something picked out for me to wear or no?" You asked.

The maid paused to think.

"Well knowing Mr. Kim, he'd probably want you to wear something that suites the Royals definition."

You nodded your head and went over to the closet. It was your first time looking in it, so it surprised you when you saw what was inside. Multiple dresses and formal gowns were neatly hanging in the closet. You were a bit surprised at first but held your head up in determination. You grabbed the first dress you saw and pulled it off the rack.

"I wouldn't wear that if I were you."

You jumped in surprise. Jin was suddenly standing behind you. Of course, with his table in his hand.

"When did you...?"

"Soon enough to stop you from wearing that."

You looked at the dress in your hand and held it up to yourself.

"I don't think it looks bad..." You trailed off.

"It's not the looks that I'm worried about, goodness no. All of these dresses were made by the Private Italian designer. I'm sure he wouldn't dare make us a dress unworthy of royalty. It's the mobility I'm worried about. That dress looks heavy and not something you should wear to do your training in." He said while plucking it out of your hand.

He returned the dress to its spot and searched for a "better one". A hum of delight came from his mouth when he found the right one.

"Now this! This is what you shall wear today."

The held the dress up to you and nodded. You took it from his hands and looked it over. Well, it's not bad... But it's not something I would normally wear.

"Now hurry and get changed. I'm not backing down from my words which means you shouldn't let your guard down. Also, in the future... I don't want to have to come and dress you each morning. I will give your maid your schedule and you shall pick what seems fit to wear. Now, I shall be off."

He began to walk off but before he left you stopped him.

"Mr. Kim... Thank you."

He glanced back at you and a small smile appeared on his face.

"I'm only doing what I see best for the kingdom." He said before leaving.

Now that I think about it, Mr. Kim isn't really a bad person. Uptight, yes but he's not that bad.

You smiled and stared at the dress in your hands. It was time to start your day and you were feeling like you could do anything!
**************************************

You know that feeling you get that you're unstoppable? But as soon as you're faced with the challenge, every sign of that feeling just vanishes. That's how it seems to be going...

"Are you paying attention to me?! How do you expect to rule beside the King if you aren't trained?!"

The teachers criticizing voice pierced through your ears. Mrs. Keno was the teacher that Mr. Kim had assigned to me for my lessons. It turns out that Mrs. Keno was going to be my teacher for all the lessons. It was a good thing this was your final lesson of the day. You couldn't handle much more of her demanding voice.

"I'm sorry. Should I try again?" You asked.

"Of course! You won't get anywhere by not trying again. Now do it over!"

You grabbed the teacup and moved it closer to you. With careful hands, you grabbed the teapot and poured a cup. Last time you had spilled but this time you wanted to pass the test.

"Remember to relax and don't stick your elbows out too much."

You quickly adjusted yourself and continued to pour. After the cup was filled to the right amount you set the pot down and slid the cup over to Mrs. Keno.

"Miss Lee, I don't know how they serve tea where you're from... But we do not slide the cup. You pick it up and place it in front of your guest." She said, emphasizing some keywords.

She picked up the cup and set it in front of you and made you do it again. This time you made sure to follow her instructions.

"Good job, Miss Lee. For a commoner, you did pretty well. You still have much to learn but with my help, we can turn you into the Queen that Prince Min expects you to be!"

You have her a small smile and bowed. No one knows about the deal... They all think that Prince Min actually wants to marry me.

"Now, you are dismissed. Come back tomorrow at the same time. We shall meet here every day until I think you no longer need my services."

"Yes, thank you, Mrs. Keno."

She bowed and you did the same. As soon as you exited the room, Agent JK stood by your side.

"Huh, I just remembered that you had to follow me around." You joked.

"Unfortunately." He responded monotonously.

You led him to the library and was surprised when Mina and Nari where there.

"Do you guys live here? It seems like you never leave the room."

"I wish we did! It's so nice in here and it's got tons of good books!" Mina squealed.

"Mina this is a library."

"Oops, sorry." She giggled.

Nari only rolled her eyes and went back to reading. Mina was no fully focused on you.

"So how did the training go? Is your teacher nice? Was it hard? Did you like it?"

"It was okay. My teacher is a lady named Mrs. Keno and she's... Good at her job. It's hard but eh."

"Of course she's good. The palace only hires the best of the best. This is only the beginning. Mrs. Keno will push you to your limits and sometimes further. Be prepared for what she throws at you." Nari said from her couch.

"Are you foreshadowing something?" You asked.

"Yes and no. I'm not saying that she will throw things at you but I'm not saying that she won't. Just be prepared."

"I'll do my best."
