Y/N's P.O.V
How embarrassing... Now the whole palace staff thinks the prince and I... Ugh, I don't even want to think about it. I wouldn't give my body away to a pompous ass like him.
You took a sip of tea to calm yourself down. It helped a little bit but it still couldn't calm the redness burning on your face.
Suddenly, there was a knock on your door.
"Come in."
A very confused and worried Hoseok come in and shut the door.
"Ho... Hoseok...? What are you- You're here?!"
He let out a sigh and leaned against the door. You got up from your seat and went over to him.
"Are you okay? Is something wrong? Here, come take a seat over here. I'll pour you some tea."
You lead him over to the sofa by his arm. He still hadn't said anything. As you poured him a cup of tea, he slowly looked around the room.
"You're not supposed to be here... Why are you here?"
You bit your lip and set the tea cup down.
"I ruined my family's life. We'd have to throw everything and everyone away. Everything my parents worked for and all the people who helped us get to where we were... I'd all be for nothing. I wasn't going to let everything go to waste. I had to do something to fix my mistakes. After all it is my fault for getting involved."
He scoffed and looked around the room.
"Look, I know you mean well and I know you want to fix everything with your family and all but it's not that easy. The palace has a different way of dealing with things. In fact, I should be angry with you considering I risked everything to get you out of here... But I'm not."
His words stung. But you deserved it. You hadn't realized how reckless you've been.
"Hoseok... I am so so sorry. I didn't mean to-"
"Sorry can;t change the past," He stopped you, "I don't know what you're planning to do but if you even think about failing I'll-"
"I won't."
He stared at you for a minute. A small smile crept onto his face and he brushed his hair back.
"Why are you helping me though?"
The question caught him off-guard.
"I'll tell you one day." He said softly. "But for now just let me help you okay?"
He stood up and bowed to you.
"I look forward to seeing your success."
With that he walked out of the room. You sighed and looked out your window. It was a nice day out and there seemed to be a light breeze. But what really caught your eye was the prince walking alone along the gardens.
He wasn't doing anything other than walking but you couldn't look away. Your recent interactions with him made your head sip. One minute he was warm and friendly but the next he was as cold as ice. It was like he had two personalities. Everything about him confused you. Why did he act the way he did? No one has talked about the King since his death but he mentioned something about him last night. Were they close?
There was one question that boggled your mind the most. Why did he agree to marry me?
You sighed and regained your focus on the prince. Except this time he returned your stare.
You quickly jumped away from the window and closed the curtain. The burning red had returned to your face and you groaned in frustration.
That makes another embarrassing interaction with him.
You threw yourself on the bed and rolled around trying to forget what had just happened.
Just then the door slammed open and in came Hyojin and the rest of them
"HAHA!! GET THAT DICK BITCH."
Prince Yoongi's P.O.V.
"I some news."
"Mother please, I'm very busy so lets skip the small talk." I sighed.
"Yoongi you should know that's not a nice way to talk to your mother."
"I don't have time for this." I said while getting up to leave.
"The guests will be arriving for the wedding tomorrow. You and the girl need to look like a happy couple. I switched around your schedule. Ask Namjoon for the details. After the wedding, I'm sending the both of you to finish what your father couldn't with King Jang Dong-gun."
A cold chill went down my spine.
"Ex-excuse me? You want me to go to his palace?"
"Yes, why? Is something wrong, dear?"
"N-no. Nothing at all." I cleared my throat.
"Wonderful then. I'll get Jin to start making plans for the trip. You can go now."
I quickly left and went back to my room. Jin and Namjoon were waiting for me inside.
"Why didn't you say anything about my schedule being changed?" I glared at Namjoon.
"It was changed a couple hours ago. It must have slipped my mind when I came in and saw-"
"Enough. Let's get one thing straight. I didn't sleep with her. There's no other reason why we should ever bring that up again, understand?"
They nodded their heads.
"Now, we have more important things to discuss. My mother is sending me and the girl to visit King Jang."
"Yes, the Queen mentioned getting the girl ready for the trip." Jin said quietly.
"Right and I'm going to need you to train her to keep her mouth shut. Also if possible, make sure she doesn't even see King Jang."
"As you wish sir."
As Jin was leaving Jimin walked in.
"You took her back to her room right?"
"Yep, just like you asked. The maid took care of her after I left."
"Good. Namjoon tell me what changes my mother made." I said while closing my eyes.
"It wasn't much surprisingly. You just have to take an hour long walk with Y/N starting tomorrow."
Ugh, precious time wasted.
"It's most likely just to show off in front of the guest tomorrow. An hour seems too long though. What time does she have it scheduled for?"
"Around 4 in the evening."
"Of course, tea time."
"Did you expect this?" Jimin asked.
"Mother always has tea with her guests. She usually has it on the balcony which has a perfect view of the gardens. She's showing the guest that me marring the girl is a good thing."
That's not the only reason though. What are you planning, Mother?
