Bodyguard Hoseok P.O.V (AKA J-Hope)

"The king has given you orders to visit Chin-hwa's farm to give him this last notice."

"Yes, Sir."

I saluted my commanding officer as he left the room. I picked up the sheet of paper that he put on the table and read it.

FINAL NOTICE

This your last notice about the loan. Pay the amount due by the end of the month or else the property owned by you will be returned to the Royal Family.

His Majesty

Min Yoongi

Hmm. Looks like I get to deliver the bad news. I don't like this job but somehow I always get stuck doing it. It's not like I can refuse either, who knows how mad the prince would get. I take the paper with me and get into one of the RB's(Royal Bodyguard) cars. When it comes to transportation, the RB has it all. We've got horses, bikes, motorcycles, you name it. I prefer to take a car though. On my way to the farm I jam out to a song a friend told me about. Finally, I had reached my destination. It was a small cottage and had a barn behind it. I walked up to the front door and knocked on it. A young woman answered the door and was clearly intimidated by my uniform. She looked pretty young, so I don't think that she was the owner of the property.

"Are you the owner of this property?" I asked.

"No, my mother is. Wait here and I"ll go get her." She replied

She left and soon returned with her mother. I handed her the paper and began to walk away.

"Can't we have a little more time?" She pleaded.

"I'm sorry but that isn't up to me." I sighed.

"Can you ask the prince or Queen? Please, I'm begging you."

"I am sorry but this is what the prince ordered. I am simply doing my job."

She had mumbled something under her breath but I was already out of earshot and walking back to the car. This is why I hated this job. I'm the one who causes pain and sorrow to people. As much as I hate it, I can't say no. When I got back to the palace, everyone was eating lunch. I grabbed some food and sat beside my friend Jimin and other guards.

"Jimin, what's with the long face?" I asked.

"Nothing. I'm fine." He answered.

"Come on! You can tell me. I promise I won't tell anyone."

He moved closer to me and whispered in my ear.

"I'll tell you later. Meet me at our hangout after our shift is over."

I nodded and focused on my food. The others were busy talking about something but I didn't listen very much. After lunch, I went to take my place guarding the Queen's door. Nothing much happened when I stood at my post. Sometimes a visitor would drop by or no one would visit at all. I think today was going to be one of those days. Once my shift was over I headed straight towards the meeting place. It was inside the walled garden that was behind the tree line. Not a lot of people come here, so Jimin and I stared to use it as a hangout. I pulled out a key that the gardener gave to me and unlocked the door. To my surprise Jimin was already here. He was sitting on the bench by the wall waiting for me. I walked over to him and looked down on him.

"How'd you get in?" I asked.

"You're not the only one with a key." He smiled.

"Did Kang-Dae give you a key?'

"I may or may not have asked for one..."

I laughed and took a seat next to him.

"So what happened today?"

"ThequeenwantedmetomaketheprincetakethethroneandifIdidntshewouldhurtmyfamily."

"Wait, what? Say it more slowly this time."

"The queen wanted me to make the Prince take the throne and if I didn't she would hurt my family." He said more slower.

"What?! That's crazy! What did you say?"

"I said no. You know that would be treason against the Prince." He scoffed.

"Yeah, I know. I just wanted to hear what you said... But what are you going to do now?" I question him further.

"Nothing. I mean, what can I do? The Prince already talked to the Queen and I'm sure he told her to back off. I can't really do anything about it."

"True... But hey, at least you're in the Prince's favor." I added.

"Yeah..."

We just sat there for a few moments letting the silence sink in. The evening bell rang and we both got up and made our way to the castle.

"So... See you later?" He asked.

"Yeah, sure. Are you going back to your house or are you sleeping in the Guard's Quarters tonight?"

"I'll stay here. If I go home, I'll just have to wake up earlier to come here." He explained.

"Where did you say you lived again?"

"It's a small country town called Mansfield."

"Hey, I had to go there today!"

"Really, what for?" He asked

"I had to give a notice to one of the farmers there."

"Did the chief give you that one job you didn't like?"

"Yeah..." I pouted.

He laughed which only made me pout more.

"Anyways, I'll see you later Hoseokie."

"Later ChimChim."

We headed our different ways and went back to work. When I got back, I was told to help with the Kingdom Harvest setup. It was a fairly simple job. All I had to do was make sure the stands for the farmers were in place and ready to be used. I had some help so It didn't take that long.

"Wow, Hoseok! You are really good at this game!" gasped Jimin.

"I played this a lot when I was
younger." I explained.

"That's why you're so good. I thought you were cheating."

"What!? I would never cheat."

"Mhm, True. You're too.... Good."

"I know." I flipped my hair back.

"You're new nickname is The Good Guard."

"Why?" I asked.

"You don't like hurting people's feelings, you help others, and you're nice to everyone. Plus you're always happy." He answered.

"I guess... But no matter how bright my personality is, I'm still a human."

"Well you're never sad so I'm having a hard time believing you."

I only shrugged and fell on my bed. It had been a long day and I was ready to go to sleep.

"Goodnight ChimChim."

"Goodnight Hoseokie."
