Y/N's .PO.V.
You toyed around with the pin in your hand and went into your thoughts. You heard Jin's voice but you weren't really listening to what he was saying. I came here because I didn't want to give up my life here. My plan took a turn and I ended up signing my life away.
Your body tensed up when a big book was slammed onto the table.
"If you're not going to listen to me then tell me because I don't have time to spend on you. This is a serious situation and I need you to get your priorities straight." He said pinching the bridge of his nose.
You put your head down and felt your forehead heating up. "Right, I'm sorry."
"Now, pay attention because I'm not repeating myself. After the wedding the Queen is sending you and the prince to a neighboring kingdom. King Jang was going to make an alliance with us but the king never made it to the meeting."
Because he died.
You remember when it was all over the news. As a kid you didn't think much of it. All you remember is your mom telling you about a very important person dying.
"How... How did the King die? I mean I kinda remember what happened but my memory is a bit blurry."
His face was solemn as he spoke. "It was a car crash. Everyone died."
It must have been hard for the prince... Having his dad being taken away from him at a young age. I couldn't even imagine how I would react if someone told me my dad died.
Jin cleared his throat. "We should get back on topic. You and the prince will be staying at King Jang's palace for a week. When you come back, there will be a couple weeks before the prince becomes the King. When the Prince Yoongi becomes king you will be the Queen consort."
"Wait what's that supposed to mean?"
"As a Queen consort you have no power. This is because you are marrying into the family. If you and the prince have children, your child will become the next ruler."
And just like that I'm fucked...
"Wait, so I don't have any power over anything at all?"
"Of course not."
"Oh man for a second there I thought-"
"You have the power to choose what you want to eat for breakfast everyday." He laughed.
Your mouth hung open as you watched him laugh at his own joke. This man is making me regret my life choices right now...
After he calmed down, he continued to explain how things were gonna go after the marriage. And from what you heard, you didn't like it.
"So nothing is going to change? It will all be like it is now I'll just be married?"
"You will also be holding the title of Queen on your shoulders. But yes, you are correct. Still that doesn't give you a reason to make the royal family name look bad. You still have to maintain a good lifestyle."
You slouched in your chair and crossed your arms. This makes things more complicated... How am I supposed to protect my family if I don't have any power over anything.
"Your intentions are so clear its like you want someone to find out what you're trying to do." Jin sighed.
"What do you mean..."
"It's clear that you're doing this for yourself. You're no better than the Queen."
"C-can you say that? Wouldn't that be considered ill manner towards the Queen. You'd be fired if-"
"They can't fire me. I know too much and they palace wouldn't move as smoothly without me."
"But they could kill you..."
"Yes, that certainly is an option. They'd treat me better than putting me in the lower cells though." He said while smirking at you.
"Wait how did you..."
"I know too much. Also You and the prince will be taking hour walks starting tomorrow. Be prepared."
With those final words he left the room. If Jin knew that then how much does he actually know. The fact that he talks about the Queen in an almost disappointment way makes me wonder what he knows... Wait did he say an hour long walk with the prince!?
Secretary Jin's P.O.V.
"Ugh, I hate sharing an office with you."
I flinched when a crumbled up sheet of paper flew past my head.
"Bitch."
"Woah there Jinnie. Those are fighting words." Namjoon said while sending me a wink.
"This is the reason why I carry my office with me."
"You talking about your little tablet? I thought you kept things in your drawers."
"I kept the important documents in there. Everything else is on the tablet." I sighed.
"Speaking of which, what's in the drawers anyways? I tired looking in it but they were locked."
"Of course you would," I said while rolling my eyes, "That's the whole reason I have it locked. Plus why would I tell you what's inside if they're so important to have a lock on it.
"Touché. But don't avoid my question. What's the important documents you're keeping hidden from me."
"Nothing important for you to know. Just some things Ii'm keeping for the Queen."
"She lets you keep her documents in there? Wait doesn't she have her own personal desk to keep her stuff in?"
"Yeah she does. But I clean her drawers and take whatever seems not as important as the other documents she has."
"I can't believe she lets you do that," He laughed. "I though she'd keep them to herself for no one to see."
"I know hard to believe. But I am her secretary."
"Yeah that's true. Well good luck with that. I'm gonna go check in with Yoongi."
I waved him goodbye and watched him leave the room. As soon as he was gone I punched in the code and open the drawer. After shifting through some papers I found the document I was looking for.
I pulled out the official documents and read the title:
Agreement of Arranged Marriage of His Royal Highness, Prince Min Yoongi
It was signed at the bottom by the Queen herself and Y/N.
I had a feeling she would go this far for her plans... Poor Yoongi.
