Prince Yoongi's P.O.V
"You needed me, Mother?"
"Yes, the annual garden party is coming up soon and I hope you have a plan."
"A plan for what?"
She rubbed her temple and sighed.
"I knew you were going to act this way. A plan for how you're going to explain anything to everyone. People are going to ask questions and you are going to need answers. So, my dear son, explain to me how you will answer such questions?"
"I'm going to tell them the truth."
Of course, Mother wasn't happy with my answer. She rubbed the back of her neck as if she was in pain. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Mother please stop acting childish. If that's all you need then I'm going to leave now. I have some important things to do." I sighed.
"Fine. See if I care that your image gets tarnished. Let's see how the kingdom will think of you then."
"They'll love me even more for being honest."
I looked down at my watch and checked the time. Shit, I'm late. If I leave now I can get there and only be two minutes late.
"I really have to go now, mother. We'll discuss plan later!" I said while practically running out of her office.
Hurriedly, the servants opened the doors for me and let me rush off. I began running down the empty halls and to the palace lawn. He's going to make fun of me again.
As soon as I get to the lawn, I'm a panting mess. I collapse on the lawn and let the grass cool down my skin. Jimin walked over to me and was standing above me with a sword in his hand.
"Hmm, I see you decided to show up this time. I was just about to pack up and leave. I'm not waiting for your lazy ass again, Min Yoongi."
I looked up at him and smiled. "Good. I don't need anyone to wait for me. Especially you, kid."
"I'm guessing you took a visit to your mother's office, huh? Is that what's got you all wild up? Come on then, you can use that energy on the field."
He reached his hand out to me but I pushed it aside and got up on my own.
"I don't need your help. I'm going to take you down." I laughed.
"We'll see about that..." He muttered.
He threw me a sword and took his place across from me. I look at the weapon and noticed that it wasn't a sparring sword. He had replaced it with a real sword.
"Jimin, you got to be crazy. You know I'd kill you if we did it for real this time," I said while I threw the sword to the ground. "I'm not going to kill you. Get fake ones."
He stood his guard and got into position. Clearly, he wasn't going to listen to me, so I sighed and got into position too.
"I'm not going to try to hurt you, Jimin. If you get hurt, it's not my fault."
He didn't say anything and continued to wait for me to advance. I sighed and picked up the sword that I had threw down. He smirked with the satisfaction that I had listened to his request.
As I advanced towards him, he prepared himself for a battle. I was beginning to have second thoughts about this but those faded away when he lunged at me.
"Jimin, what the hell?" I was a bit startled but laughed it off. His expression didn't change though.
"Don't let your feelings get in the way. If the time ever comes when you stand against your own friends, you should strike in an instant."
His words shocked me. But he was right. There are people out there who either want me on the throne for the wrong reasons and people who don't.
"I don't think it will ever happen but you're right. I should be prepared for anything to happen."
Our battle had begun. Our swords clashed and threatened to cut each other's skin with one swipe. I dodged and lunged making sure he didn't touch me. Jimin wasn't one to let your guard down with though. His passion fueled him and made him do his best and even more.
"Don't get too excited there. We aren't fighting to the death, Jimin." I huffed. I froze for a second to catch my breath.
"I'm just playing fair, Sir."
He didn't waste any time in lunging at me. His actions were so swift and smooth that I didn't even realize he had cut me.
"I... Win." He said almost breathless.
I stopped and looked down at my forearm. Sure enough, there was a cut. Blood wasn't streaming out of it but there was a little bit. I dropped my sword and wiped the sweat from my forehead.
"You've certainly been training. Your movements are getting sharper."
He chuckled and pushed his hair back.
"I'm just preparing myself, Sir."
"Don't call me 'Sir', kid. But what are you preparing for?" I asked.
"Anything and everything. You never know what might happen. I must always be on my guard."
I walked over to him and ruffled his hair. This is why Jimin was my personal bodyguard. He was ready for anything.
"Go back to the BGH and get some rest. You fought hard today."
"But Hyung, I have to stand-"
"Nope. Future King's Order. Go rest and when you wake up, you can report back to me."
"Jeez, Hyung I don't need a nap. If that's what you're implying then I must remind you that I'm not a kid." He laughed.
"Shush, child. Just go to sleep. I'll see you later, alright?"
"Yeah, sure."
I called for the servants to pick up the equipment and walked away. I needed to get back to managing the Kingdom.

So there you were sitting in shock at what you had just heard. With a task this important, I must be starting to gain the Queen's trust. You nodded your head and agreed.
"I'll do it. I'll make sure I do my best."
"Splendid! I'll just mark you down saying that you've agreed to help with the Garden Party. You'll need to find the right garden to have it in. Make sure it's not too far from the palace."
She handed you the papers and dismissed you. You exited her room and let Jungkook guide you back to your room.
"What's so important about this party? Does the Queen really want such a big decision to be placed on me?" You asked Jungkook.
"I don't know and I don't care. A garden party isn't my thing. I just protect who I'm assigned to."
You rolled your eyes. What was the point of asking someone as small-minded as him? You decided to ask Jin about it later. For now, you needed to focus on your task.
