Y/N's P.O.V.
"So you said you came from a farm right? Were there pigs and stuff?"
You sighed as Yeun-Sul asked you the one hundredths question that day. The two of you were waiting for Yoongi and King Jang to get out of a meeting. King Jang had planned for a afternoon outing that day and it would be rude to refuse him.
"Yes we had pigs."
You tried to slouch down as to where you could hide behind the book you were "reading" but she wouldn't stop talking.
"That's gross. I bet it smelled. Did you ever have to go in the mud with them?"
"No. I didn't have to go in the mud with them." You said while holding back the urge to slap her.
Just then Yoongi and King Jang walked into the room. It was perfect timing because you didn't know how much more you could take of Yeun-Sul's stupid questions.
"I hope we didn't keep you ladies waiting for too long." King Jang smiled.
"Not at all. In fact, I was just getting to know Y/N a little more."
Yoongi glanced at you and held eye contact for a few seconds but eventually looked away.
"It's nice to know that you guys are getting along just fine."
You smiled and looked down to the book in your hand.
"Anyways, about today's plans. Today's weather was so nice that I though we could all go for a ride today. I know you don't like riding horses Yeun-Sul but Yoongi always did care for our horses here at the stables."
You peaked up from the book to sneak a look at Yeun-Sul. She was slightly pouting and looked as if she wanted to protest.
"We won't be riding the horses here though. There's a nice nature path close to here where we'll be transporting the horses to. They also have anything else we would need for today's little trip. Yeun-Sul and I will take a separate car to get there though."
"Wait, why? Can't I just go with Yoongi and Y/N?" Yeun-Sul asked looking a bit upset.
"No, because you and I have to go get something for later on." He turned to Yoongi and put his arm on his shoulder. "If you and Y/N get there before us, then you two can go ahead and we'll catch up to you later."
You set your book down and stood up from your seat. Yeun-Sul stared at you and then looked away rolling her eyes.
"Alright then let's get going."
*★,°*:.☆
There was faint breeze when you stepped out of the car. King Jang and Yeun-Sul were no where to be seen.
"Do you think we should wait for them... Just in case?" You asked looking to Yoongi.
"King Jang said we should start without them, so let's go."
He began walking towards the guards who had arrived earlier. You followed a few steps behind and looked at the horses.
"Do you know who to ride?"
"Not really."
He nodded and held out his hand. You stared at him and reluctantly place your hand in his. His fingers were cold but it was a nice contrast from your warm hands. He walked you up the little boarding area so it would be a bit easier to get on your horse.
"Now, see this? Stick your foot in there and then swing your leg over."
You did as you were told and eventually, you were on and ready to go. One of the soldiers gave you a small prep talk on thing you should know about leading the horse but you didn't really catch any of it. You figured that saying 'woah' when you wanted to stop was enough.
Yoongi looked at you from his horse with a questionable look.
"You do know that I can get a guard to lead the horse for you if you feel uncomfortable leading the horse on your own."
It was a nice offer but your pride got the best of you.
"No, i'm sure I'll be fine." You smiled.
You didn't want to let Yoongi think that you needed help. He already though of you as a helpless little commoner so you wanted to show him that you weren't.
"If you say so..."
Yoongi started to ride off and you wanted to follow but there was one small problem... You didn't know how to make the horse actually move.
"Uh, hey horsie but I think it's time to get going..." You said while leaning forwards.
Nothing.
Since Yoongi was starting to get a bit far ahead, you asked if one of the guards could lead you. They agreed and brought you up to the same pace as Yoongi. You looked down embarrassed as the guard lead you alongside Yoongi. The path was pretty big so there was enough room for the both of you.
"I though you didn't need anyone to lead you?" Yoongi said in a teasing voice.
Shut up.
You looked away and tried to focus on the nature but you couldn't help but hear Yoongi laughing 'quietly'.
"Are you laughing at me?" You asked while quickly lifting your head up and staring at him.
He pressed his lips together trying to hold back a smile, " I don't know what you're talking about."
Your mouth hung open and little as you watched him hold back his smile. You smiled a little and shook you head.
As you and Yoongi continued to ride along the path, you heard some voices coming from father behind the both of you.
"See, I told you they wouldn't be that far ahead!"
You turned around at the sound of King Jang's voice. He was riding along Yeun-Sul happily. She on the other hand looked terrified and was clutching onto her horse like she was going to fall.
"My apologies, Yeun-Sul had some trouble getting on her horse. I hope we didn't make you slow down for us."
"Not at all." Yoongi smiled.
