Y/N's P.O.V.
You had finally gotten settled in. The next thing you wanted to do was call your parents. The on;y problem was that you didn't have a phone. Maybe I can find someone who has one?
You slowly opened the door and poked your head out. You turned your head and saw a black suit. Your eyes slowly traveled up the person's frame and found their face. A small gasp left your lips when you saw who it was. Agent JK?!
"Hello there, commoner." He looked down at you.
You quickly pulled in your head and closed the door. What was he doing here?!? He's not going to put me back in that dungeon, is he?
You began to pace the room and tried to think of how to get past him. Of course, you knew that he probably wasn't going away anytime soon. You stomped your feet in frustration and let out a small whine. Then there was a knock on the door. The door swung open and in came Agent JK with the Queen behind him. You politely bowed and welcomed her in.
"Y/N, sorry about the interruption but I forgot to tell you that Agent JK will be your new personal bodyguard."
At that moment, your heart stopped working. Nevertheless, the Queen kept talking.
"You don't have to worry. Agent JK went through the whole entire bodyguard program and then went through the Secret Service program. He's quite good at what he does." She smiled.
"Thank you for the kind words, your Majesty," JK said lowly.
"If you need anything, just ask him. Now, I should get going." She said with a smile. "That wedding isn't going to plan itself."
She left the room and closed the door behind her. You were left awkwardly standing across from Agent JK. He was so intimidating and to make matters worse, he was staring at you. Your hands began to sweat and your legs became wobbly.
"Well, well, well... Look what we have here." He smirked.
He began to make circles around you. You felt like a person stranded in the ocean with a shark circling you.
"I don't know how you got out of here alive or who helped you, but why would you come back? What is it that you want? Hmm?"
You didn't answer and squeezed your eyes shut.
"Look at you; a scared little girl. You won't last a week in the palace. You should have stayed in hiding. I should have killed you while I could." He seethed.
You didn't how much more you could take. His words sparked fear inside every part of your body. Was this a good idea? Maybe he was right?
He shook his head and left the room. You let out a huge breath that you had been holding in. You sat down on the small couch and put your hand on your chest. Your heart was beating super fast. If someone heard it, the would have thought you just ran a marathon. You decided to stay in your room and not come out.
Hours later, there was a knock on the door. Again, the door swung open and in walked a kitchen staff.
"Good evening! The Queen has requested your presence in the Royal Dining Room." The man smiled.
"Thank you. I'll be down shortly." You said shyly.
He began to walk away but then he stopped. He tilted his head to the side and studied your face.
"Do I know you?" He asked.
"W-what?"
"You look awfully familiar." He narrowed his eyes.
"You must have seen me on the news." You suggested.
He gasped and a smile formed on his face.
"I know! You were with that girl that Hoseok spilled the drink on!" He laughed.
You knew what he was talking about but you didn't remember him. He stuck his hand out and you shook it.
"Kim Taehyung, I work here at the palace but sometimes I serve down at the Grand Hall."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Lee Y/N."
He looked at his watch and grabbed your wrist.
"We should go. The Queen doesn't like to wait very long."
He dragged you out the door but you felt someone pulling you back and out of Taehyung's grip. You turned around and looked at the person.
"Taehyung, I'm sure she can walk on her own. You don't have to drag her down the halls." JK said coldly.
Taehyung crossed his arms over his chest and got in JK's face. It was like Taehyung turned into a whole different person.
"You don't have to act like that Jungkook. Now let go of her. The Queen wants her and if you make Her Majesty wait any longer, I will blame you."
JK, or actually Jungkook, let go of your arm and backed off. Taehyung turned to you and hurried you along. Since Jungkook was your bodyguard, he came too.
When you arrived at the Royal Dining Room, the Queen greeted you happily.
"Welcome, Y/N! I was just talking about you with my son." She smiled.
You saw the Prince sitting on the very end of the table taking a sit out of his wine glass. You bowed to him, to which he replied with a small nod of the head.
"Yoongi, give our guest an actual greeting." She scolded him.
"Good evening, Miss Lee."
His deep voice sent shivers down your spine.
"Don't mind him Y/N. He's just nervous about being around a pretty girl like you." She teased.
"Mother, don't fill the girl's head with such nonsense." He glared at her.
"Nonsense!? You are getting married to this 'girl'. I think you should be kind to her."
The conversation was uncomfortable for you and it seemed to be the same for the Prince. You could see a light shade of red forming on his face.
"The world already knows about the wedding!" She exclaimed.
A loud screeching sound came from the Prince's chair as he abruptly stood up.
"YOU ANNOUNCED IT TO THE PUBLIC!?" He yelled.
"They deserve to know."
He had fire in his eyes as he turned around and marched out of the room. The queen sighed and sent her attention to you.
"I'm sorry about that Y/N. The Prince is still getting used to his new duties and has a lot of stress. I've tried to help him but he won't let me." She said sadly.
"Oh... I'm sure he'll come around." You said nervously.
She smiled and told you to take a seat and eat with her. After dinner, you went back to your room and waited until it was time to sleep.
