Seeing Things In a New Light

Prince Yoongi's P.O.V.

Sparks were shooting through my body. It felt like everything was on fire but nothing was burning. Our lips may have only touched for a second but it sent my body into a spiral. My fingers were still pressed to her face when I broke away and her eyes were wide. To be honest, I didn't even process what I just did. 

"Y/N, I-..."

Her eyes flickered between mine trying to understand what had just happened.

"See, I told you Haneul."

The little boy scoffed. "Yeah, whatever. I'm going back to the others."

I watched the little boy walk away back to play with the others. It wasn't until I felt her touch my hand that I noticed my hand was still on her face.

"Ah, S-sorry. I... erm, We should probably get back to Jin. He's... He might be looking for us." 

I quickly got up and hurried to walk off before she had time to get up. Great going Yoongi.

The car ride back to the palace was as awkward as ever. Jin had even come up to me and ask if something had happened. I simply replayed with "No" to get him to leave as fast as possible. Once I was sure he had left, I sat back and sighed. I tried to collect my thoughts but my mind kept going back to Y/N. I had even caught my finger touching my lips at times. 

"Ugh, get ahold of yourself Yoongi. You must focus on becoming King. It's only a few day's away and after that, the real work will begin. You have no time to waste on such thoughts." I whispered to myself.

My hands ran through my hair and when I had enough, I pulled on it. These thoughts were frustrating. Taking up too much space in my mind. I didn't think something so small could affect my thinking so much. It's not important so why the hell am I still thinking about it.

I sat up and sighed. I need to focus on doing other things right now. 

Secretary Jin's P.O.V.

"Namjoon do me a favor and tell Yoongi that he needs to start on his speech. the coorination is in a few days and he really needs to start now."

Namjoon sighed before getting up from his desk and walking over to the door. "Don't you dare touch my plants. I know you moved them to the window last time. You're the only person ither than me who comes in here."

I rolled my eyes and waved him off. Once he was gone, I pulled out the documents from my drawers and headed out. 

Once I was at her door, I knocked and let myself in. Lucky for me, she was in the middle of her afternoon tea. 

"Y/N, this is very important. I need you to sign this paper right here." I said while placing the single sheet in front of her.

She picked it up and looked confused.

"This is all? Only one paper?"

"Yes. One paper is all it takes to change history."

I handed her the pen and without a second thought, she signed it. 

"Congratulations Y/N, you are now the official secondary ruler."

She looked as if she was going to choke on her tea. The news must have surprised her but I would most likely react the same way.

"What?! He actually agreed to sign it!?"

I simply smiled not wanting to give away the truth. I watched as a smile formed on her face as she looked at the paper. She handed it back to me and I bowed to her. After a few more minutes of listening to her talk, I left and went back to my office to send off the papers. 

When everything was ready to go, I sent them off and they were on their way to be approved. My next stop was to deliver Queen Min's Tea. Taehyung had offered to make the tea but I declined his help. I was one of the few who actually knew how to make her tea after all. Once everything was poured in, I headed off to her room.

"Come in"

I walked into her room and set her tray down. She picked up the freshly made tea and took a sip.

"When are the documents coming in? I figured they would've been in by now..."

"They haven't arrived yet. I'm sure they'll be here in a few  days though."

She hummed and stared at me.

"You look stressed lately. Tired too... I something bothering you Jin? I haven't seen you like that in a while."

"Yoongi's crowning is in a few days. I've been working into the night to get things prepared. That is all."

She nodded before forgetting about the subject and dismissing me. It wasn't a lie though. I really was tired from working. I just didn't tell her the whole reason why I was tired. I've been working on something and it's taken me lots of time to get things set up  accordingly. Although, everything was going good so far. I just needed to wait things out for the final step.

Servant Taehyung's P.O.V.

"'Taehyung, go help the chefs while I go deliver Queen Min's tea. They looked like they had their hands full and you're the only who has the best cooking and baking skills out of everyone in the whole kitchen' That's what he said to me."

The main chef rolled his eyes as he looked at me. "Taehyung, you and I both know Jin would never say those words. The first half yes but the second part... I have a feeling you just made that up."

I put my hands up in defense. "Okay okay, maybe you're right but I am the only servant who can do those things."

The chef just smiled and pointed to the chef's rack of aprons. "If you're gonna help, go put one on and bring me some flour. We're gonna need lots of it so find some from the pantry."

I quickly nodded before doing as told. This was the first time he was actually going to let me help so I wanted to do my best. After putting on an apron, I ran to the pantry to find the flour. Some other servants were already there so I asked one where it was. They took me to where it was and was about to touch something on the shelf lower than the flour but I pulled them back.

"Ah! Watch out, you almost touched the mouse trap. Jin set them there and if you touched it, it wouldn't be good for you. It's pretty deadly so be more careful next time. Here, I'll grab the flour. Anyways you should tell everyone else about it."

For future reference, when I say later it probably means at 3 in the morning...
