First Time Maze Runner [Newt Love Story]

The Plan

Maddie had been thinking of numerous things the past few days.

With Thomas constantly bugging her about what she knows and what she knows about the Maze, her relationship with Newt and then the big one, Minho having a crush on Thomas.

She kept picturing Thomas and Minho together and she felt they'd be great as a couple.

Only problem, Minho is shy trying to talk to Thomas.

Of all people to be shy, it was him. Maddie had decided to come up with her own little sneaky plan.

She needed someone's help though, so she went to Newt.

She walked into the Homestead, saying 'hello' or 'hey' to people in there as she passed them.

She walked to the back hammock to find a sleeping Newt. She thought a moment and decided to wake him up by tickling him.

She knew Newt hated it when she tickled him, but they were currently in a tickle war between eachother.

She slowly placed her hands on his sides, causing him to move around a bit. She smiled to herself and began to tickle him.

He squirmed and his eyes fluttered open, he looked at her and tried not to laugh but couldn't hold it in any longer.

Newt bursted out laughing, squirming around trying to get away. She eventually stopped and he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her into him.

Maddie squealed and laughed, as did Newt holding her close and kissing her all over her face.

She scrunched up her face and smiled at him, he chuckled and pulled her closer.

"You are so bloody adorable." Newt murmured.

"Oh hush up." Maddie smiled, running her fingers through his hair gently.

"The only adorable person here is you." She cooed which made Newt roll his eyes playfully.

"No denying it!" Maddie squealed which made Newt chuckle.

"Fine fine, only this time though." He sighed happily, kissing her forehead.

Maddie sighed happily also, burying her face into his chest.

"Hey Newt?" She questioned, mumbling into his shirt.

"Hm?" He mumbled, he had rested his head on her head gently.

"You know how Minho likes Thomas?" She replied, smiling into his shirt.

"Mhm why?" He chuckled.

"Let's set Minho and Thomas up on a date, I need your help." Maddie smiled, and looked up at him.

"Aw I don't know Maddie, Minho would kill us." He groaned and kissed her forehead.

"Pleaseeeeee...." Maddie pouted, making Newt starting to smile.

"Aw no don't do that, you know I fall for it every bloody time." Newt whined, but gave in anyways.

"You owe me, big time you little-," he was cut off by Maddie's lips against his.

"Sh, no talking." She smirked at him, which only made him smirk back.

The next day was the day Maddie had planned. Her and Newt would ask Thomas and Minho to meet at a certain time with them. Then they'd plan a nice picnic and go to the camp fire.

Perfect date.

Maddie would get Thomas and Newt would get Minho. We'd all meet at the picnic area and start off from there.

"Oh come on, please!" Maddie begged Thomas as he looked at her skeptically.

"Why do you want me to go so shucking bad?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"If you don't shucking agree to go to this I'll never help you." She threatened and then smiled innocently at him.

Thomas only groaned and finally gave in, starting to walk to the picnic area.

"Good thing you agreed, you didn't want to know what I could've done." She snickered.

"Oh I have my ideas Maddie." Thomas mumbled, rolling his eyes at her.

They continued to walk as Newt started trying to convince Minho.

"Minho, get up and lets bloody go." Newt groaned, Minho was very stubborn.

"Why do I have to go?" Minho sighed and looked at Newt.

"Because you just bloody have to!" Newt stammered which caused Minho to raise his eyebrows.

"Something is going on, isn't there?" He questioned, making Newt somewhat uncomfrontable.

"We'll I guess you'll have to come with me to see, won't ya." Newt smirked, crossing his arms.

"You may have turned the tables on me this time, but next time will be different." Minho grinned and got up.

Newt and Minho started walking towards the picnic area also, meeting Thomas and Maddie there.

"Oh look, it's Thomas and Maddie, lets join them." Newt spoke as if everything was casual so Minho wouldn't get the idea of a 'date.'

They all sat down and started talking and having a great time. Until the question got asked.

"Why did you invite us here?" Thomas wanted to know, which only got him a death glare from Maddie.

"Is it so bad to have friends?" She replied back coldy which caught Thomas a bit off guard.

Newt looked at Minho, and then he started to put it together. But before he had time to speak, Maddie was directing everyone to the campfire.

"Let's go everyone, c'mon!" She shouted, making everyone go all at once.

Newt made sure Minho was with Thomas, which only made Minho more suspicious.

"Hey Minho, what are they up to?" Thomas questioned, watching Maddie and Newt talk.

"I have an idea in mind, but I rather not say." Minho replied, swallowing hard.

"You can trust me Minho, I won't laugh." Thomas replied, the way he spoke drove Minho crazy.

"If I told you, you'd laugh at me, point blank Thomas." Minho replied, sitting down on a log and sighing deeply.

Thomas slowly walked over to him, and sat down beside Minho, placing a hand on his knee gently.

Minho watched his hand then looked up at Thomas. He was speechless for a second, he didn't know how to react, or what to say.

"Promise you won't laugh?" Minho cringed as if this would ruin his life forever.

"I promise." Thomas whispered, sitting closer to him.

"I like you." Was all he said, then shut his eyes tightly.
