"It's beautiful" she gasped, not believing a place like this could exist.
"Now Kore, remember to stay by my side and do not get in the way of anything." Demeter helped her daughter off their steed and walked to the front of the gates. She swirled her fingers against the golden iron and it creaked open.
"Remember, we do a quick tour and then we leave" she warned her.
Kore nodded excitedly and followed her as they walked past a fountain in the courtyard. She stopped to take in the magnificent sights; the setting sun in the distance was the perfect backdrop.
Demeter opened the heavy doors with ease and soon, Kore was transported into an elegant palace fit for the gods. Kore's eyes ascended to the mural of the 12 above the ceiling; of course, Zeus was at the center.
