Thirty Seven

Kore

As I go down to retrieve a snack from the kitchen, a tough hand grabs me and holds me from behind.

"Let go!" I snapped, trying to wiggle off the unfamiliar face. I couldn't even be surprised as I Zues staring down at me from the shadows.

"GUARDsssmmfff" he quickly muffled my screams.

"I highly advise against that" he smiled evilly.

"unhand me!" I grunt. I tried to break free but he continued to push me against the wall. "Still havent killed him yet? Have you?" He smiled knowingly.

My face drained of color as his words rested upon my ears. " I...I don't know to whom you are speaking of" I stuttered pathetically.

"Don't act daft goddess. Who would have thought my little Kore had it in her?" he caressed my cheek adoringly, "to kill the king of the underworld? I am proud my daughter."

"Do not cal me your daughter you leech!" I retorted.

"Hey!" he grabbed my chin with force, "show some respect to your father" he grins pridefully.

I cleared my throat and spat in his face, making sure his smug smile disappeared.

He slowly wiped it off and quickly reach in his robes to charge his thunderbolt.

I only stared with calm as he raised it, about to strike me but he refused against it. "I still need you for the success of this plan" he cursed, dropping it close to my feet. A few sparks dripped to my toes. I wanted to wince with pain but refused to show him my weakness.

"What plan?" I spat as I try to affirm my innocence.

"one that you will soon learn. You will be the dirty to kill him"

"I will not"

"Either you will kill him or I will" he bragged calmly.

"You would dare  harm your own brother?" I asked skeptically.

"I have raped and pillaged and killed mortals for fun. Do you think I am above it?" He chuckled evilly.

"You are the true devil. Not Aides" I fumed.

"He will either be killed by me or you can have the honor"

"And if I don't?"

He took out another thunder bolt and piereced it agaisnt my neck, the heat from the glow fizzed against my cold skin.

"Your empty threats mean nothing to me"

"They are not empty daughter"

"Do it then" I smiled, grabbing his wrists to bring it closer to me. Just as he charged it to hit me? Aides  called for me in the distance.

"Time is ticking flower goddess" he smiled and disappeared before Aides came. I fall to the floor and cry as I tried regain my breaths.

"Kore!" Aides ran and bent to aide me.

"Don't touch me!" I yelled and ran away from him. I had no wish to be near him.

I would be the one to kill him...the one to take his life....
