Kore
My heart dropped as I woke up the next morning to an empty chair. He probably left as soon as I dozed off. Well, he did promise he would only stay until I fell asleep. I stood to groom then hurried down to the dining room for breakfast. Maybe I could catch him at breakfast before he buried himself in his office with work. Only silence filled the empty dining room. "Where is the Aideoneus?" I asked a servant setting a plate of food in the distance.
"The king has traveled to Olympus. There was a meeting at Olympus called overnight. The last one before their sabbatical. He will return here in 3 days time."
"Oh" I muttered, saddened by his absence. I needed to busy myself until he returned. After breakfast, I returned to his room to relax and familiarize myself with the scroll for the dokimi soon approaching. I must have read it 1000 times, but I still could find no answer.
I threw the scroll to the floor and tossed my head into his pillows. I started to cry thinking of my fate and what my future entailed.
Did he even want me to be his queen? I had made it my mission to push him away since I first came to the realm.Plus...I still wanted my freedom, which meant I had to complete my mission and kill him.
My eyes fell to a small letter tucked beneath the layer of pillows, snapping me from my distant thoughts.
"Hmm? What's this?" The front of the letter read Kore.
I slowly peeled the corners, pressed closed by the King's official seal.
"Kore,
I have left on an extended trip to Mt. Olympus overnight. It is the last meeting of the 12 before the sabbatical. I will return to you in 4 days time.
I am glad you found solace in my bed last night. You slept as soon as your head hit the pillows. I would apologize for Eris but it is in her nature to cause discord. I had my guards escort her out the palace.
She is banned from the palace so alert the guards if you see her roaming about.
Be sure to stay out of trouble and read the scroll for the dokimi. Look for the answer you seek...it is in there.
Aideoneus."
A small smile erupted across my lips as I reread the letter. It had meant more to me than anything he had done so far.
What was this feeling inside my spirit.
Why did I find myself......missing him?

Next Day
I wanted to apologize to Aides in the best way possible. He had saved me twice already from my tragic doom. I wanted to create a crown of flowers for him; a whole basket full of pretty plants.
"Ughh" I cursed as I attempted to produce life for the 500th time. I sat crossed legged on the black grass as I observed the peaceful garden.
"You stupid soil" I muttered, throwing a chunk of it to the trees.
"You are as stubborn as I; I told you No life grows here." a voice sounded behind me. I turned to see its owner and Aides stood before me. I wanted to run to hug him but made sure to disguise my excitement.
"Back so soon?" I muttered. He came behind me and reached in front of my torso, slowly guiding my hands. One strong arm rested against my stomach as he pulled me in. A dark glow came from my fingers as he held my wrists "You have to harvest the Energy of darkness. Those are the only flowers that will grow here" he bragged. With the last wave of my palm, along with his guidance, a pretty sable flower appeared.
