"Kore! Kore!" my mother yelled from the distance. I take in my surroundings and observe the quiet peacefulness of earth. My home across the meadows was a perfect backdrop to the picturesque evening. I couldn't believe I had ventured to earth!
Finally!
I was free.
"Mother! Wait mother!" I ran after her through the gardens. The nymphs danced around me as ran through the fruitful fields.
My mother and friends waved to me to hurry as I struggled to catch up. I paused to catch my breaths as they ran ahead of me. After a few miles, I finally reached them. "I thought I would never see you again!" I chuckle gleefully, relived to be on earth once more, "Oh! How I missed you all!"
"Kore has returned! The goddess has returned!" they sang and as we skipped through the fields.
"Hurry Kore! Hurry! We must hide you before he comes!" the nymphs sing merrily.
"Come Kore! Hurry!" my mother's voice carried from her spot in the distance.
"Who mother? Hide from who?" I asked but the nymphs continued to lead me down a path of red roses. They still ignored me as I ran through the winding meadows in an attempt to catch up.

I tossed in my bed, restless from the nights event. I could not sleep knowing Eris was in the castle. She was deceitful in the past and I wouldn't put it past her to try something with Kore.
Despite knowing this, I couldn't just lie in the bed, staring into the darkness. Maybe I should check the barriers that led to Tartarus to make sure they were secured? Then, I would pass by Kore's room to check on her.
My spirits needed to rest.

I stopped at the lengthy gates that led to the depths of Tartarus. Two ashen statues of grim and glum guarded the entrance.

I stepped out the boat and walked down the uneven path to check the security of the gates. Horror filled my spirits as I saw the gates of Tartarus opened ajar.
"Eris!" I seethed, and quickly ran inside to observe the environment. I only prayed to the gods Kore wasn't the innocent soul in there.

Kore
"Mother?" I stopped running and reached to grab her wrist. "Who are we running from?" I ask, refusing to move from my spot until she answered me.
"Him! He's evil!" she pointed behind me. I turned around but see nothing?
"Who?" I snapped away from her reach but she would not tell me....
