"Hey momma big boy," I coo'ed at Baby Nick as we all were on our way to meet up with Vanny and Jessie in the park. It's been almost three months since I gave birth to him and honestly I'm happy, it was off to a rough start especially having to do things all by myself but in the end I can still say that I'm happy. After the meet up at the club that day I didn't hear from Nick anymore. He changed his number on me and I was told by Jessie that he left without telling any of them where he was going. I blamed myself for everything that has happened because I know I pushed him away. I know that one day I will have to be able to tell my kids what happened between daddy and me or why he's not around any more. I always show them pictures and videos so they won't ever forget who he is despite the fact that he practically made the decision to abandon them, which I know they don't deserve. I mad a promise to myself that if he was to ever come back I'd drop my petty ways for the sake of my kids because I don't want them to get caught in the cross fire ever again.
"Hey ladies, hey Roddy what's sup? How does it feel to be back out here in this crazy ass place."
"Listen I think out here is better than in there, plus I get to be with my family again." Roddy got release on Monday and I'm so happy to see him out and doing well, especially after what happened. Vanny had a premature birth and one of the twins caught pneumonia and passed away. It was difficult for her to process but she had us by her side to make it through. Since having the twins and the tragedy that occurred it brought her and Roddy back together. Our friendship has even gotten better than before, well all of us and it took a lot just to get here.
I now have a two year old and a one year old, my babies was growing up on me and I just wish their dad was here to witness it. Nicole tapped me on my leg as she tried to get my attention, "momma, see baby."
"Yes momma see, How is my niece doing over there miss Jessie," I said while bending down and giving her a hug.
"Hey girl, say hi aunty what's sup," she said while waving baby Roxanne's little hand. Yup we all had our beautiful bundles of joy right after the other. "So Maci you know all of us don't come together and meet up like this but it's a reason as to why we're here and I don't even know where to begin honestly." I shot jessie a look of confusion because I honestly didn't know what she had to tell me that couldn't been said over the phone. "Okay girl I'll start by showing you this but before I do please don't think am being messy or inconsiderate of your feelings because I'm not."
"Girl stop now your scaring me, just show me already."
"Okay, okay, yesterday Nick posted this on his Instagram," she pulled her phone out and passed it to me and honestly I couldn't believe what she was showing me.
