Chapter 3: Stubborn

Nancy cried a lot while leaving Paras. Paras too looked sad, but he didn't cry. He was trying his best not to cry.

After few minutes, we went inside the airport. All the checking procedures were completed. Our bags were already sent to be loaded. We still had an hour to kill before the flight. We had a flight to Doha first and to London.

Nancy and I were talking or let's say I was counseling her. Anna was reading something on her phone. Boys were busy on their own.

Mr. Shakya came in front of us and told us that company will be providing us a flat.

"5 people in one flat?" Rohan asked curiously.
"Yes, but it's huge" Mr. Shakya laughed.
Then he said he'd explain further details after we reach.

"The passengers travelling to London by Qatar Airways are requested to board on the plane, 008DL through gate number 4. Thank you." The speaker on the wall started beeping.
That was our flight!

We all stood up and walked towards the gate 4. A huge Dream Liner was waiting for us. We went inside the plane. Young air hostesses were waiting for our arrival. They greeted us very politely. Rohan and Aarav helped us to manage our hand bags.

My seat was beside Aarav's and everyone else were behind us. Aarav was normal again. He was talking with me in a normal way. He even helped me with the seat belt. After few minutes the plane left the ground.

It was going to be a long flight.

"Hey." I called Aarav, who was looking outside from the window.
"Hi" He turned to me.
"I'm sorry if I disturbed you." I quickly added.
"Oh no no" He responded.

"Anyway what were you doing before this?" I asked.
"I was working in the same field." He replied.
"And you?" He asked.
"I was working in a Publishing company as a editor." I smiled.
"So why in a management company now?" He asked in a sarcastic tone.
"Haha destiny" I replied, unaware of what I was saying.
He just smiled.

"That looks cool!" I said, pointing to his tattoo.
"It was a mistake" He said with a weak smile.

What did he meant by that?
I was confused.
"You'll know soon" Maybe he read my expressions.

Our conversation was interrupted by an air hostess. She was asking if we needed coffee or tea.
"Coffee" both of us replied simultaneously.
Air hostess's smile was much more warmer than the coffee.

"Girlfriend?" I asked him.
"Many" he replied with sarcasm.
"Boyfriend?" he asked me.
"Many" I replied with the same sarcasm.
We both laughed.

I looked behind. Nancy and Anna were talking.
"I guess we'll get along so well" Aarav turned to me saying this.
"Why so?" I asked him taking a sip of coffee.
"We share the same humor" he laughed.

Then he started to capture pictures of the cloud. And I started to read a book. Hour passed like that. Then it was lunch time. Meals were distributed.

"Siwani, there's mushroom in the soup!" Anna startled me as I was going to drink the soup.
I was confused. Huh Mushrooms? What's wrong with mushrooms? Before I could react Aarav started sneezing.

"Come on Aaru I told you there's mushroom in the soup" Anna shouted.
"You told Siwani, not to me" Aarav fired back.
"You're still so stubborn" Anna sounded frustrated.

Aarav's sneezing were increasing and his skin was turning red. I panicked watching him like that. Rohan, Nancy, Me and even Mr. Shakya were shocked. Without saying a word Anna came to me and told me to exchange seat with her. I did as she said. I quietly took her seat.

How Anna knew Aarav was allergic to Mushroom? Nancy asked me if I knew what was going on. I stayed quiet cause nothing was making sense to me either.

My doubts were clear after that mushroom accident. Anna and Aarav had a history together. I was so curious to know about them.

Anna started patting Aarav's back and requested an air hostess to bring hot water with salt but the air hostess suggested to take him to the medical room. Anna agreed and the crew arrived to take Aarav.

Rohan helped the crew members to lift Aarav. Anna looked so worried. Aarav was taken to the medical room. Rohan joined them. Anna came to us and took Rohan's seat. She was in tears. She was besides me. I held her hands and she sighed.

"He's so stubborn" Anna said, looking so worried.
"You know him?" I asked her.
"Used to" She smiled, drying her tears.

After an hour Rohan and Aarav came back. Aarav seemed fine.
He was holding hot water bag. He smiled at us. Rohan and Aarav sat together in the front row.

"We'll land in Doha in fifteen minutes" an air hostess made the announcement. I asked Aarav if he was okay. He nodded.
"Keep the hot water bag in your foot"  Anna told Aarav.
Aarav did as she said.
Anna seemed relieved than before.

"We have reached Doha. We'll leave for London in fifteen minutes." Another announcement was made.

"People mustn't be stubborn" Anna taunted Aarav.
"Your effect dear" Aarav blinked.
Anna ignored him but she smiled.
