"Wake up guys"
I woke up with a pat on my lap. Nancy was waking me and Anna up.

Anna was rubbing her eyes. We'd land in 10 minutes, Nancy informed us. We were told to tie our seat belts.
After few minutes we landed in the London City Airport.

We took our bags and got up. Air hostesses said good bye with the warm smile.

"The staffs will pick us up" Mr. Shakya informed us. Our flat was in the Abingdon St.

We were in a new city, starting a new life. New chapters of life were waiting for us. Who thought life would take a U turn for some people. All of us were very excited for the unexpected!

We waited until we got our suitcases. Then we got out of the airport. It was evening there, maybe 6:30 pm. Everything was new to us. We were welcomed by  3 people Nikki, Roberto and David. They greeted us. They were the staffs of Global Management.

Two cars stopped in front of us. Mr. Shakya, Nancy, Anna and Me in one and rest of the on the another one.

All of us were quiet the whole way, we were exhausted due to the long flight. All of us were just staring outside  the window.

Tall buildings, a city full of lights. Cars going here and there. London was more beautiful in real, than in movies and books. Few minutes after the ride, we saw Big Ben, showing 6:45. The moment everyone was waiting for. We were mesmerized.

"You guys will see this more often" Mr. Shakya broke the silence. He told us he had the same reaction when he first came in the city. After few minutes the car stopped in a parking of a huge building. The other car was already there. We got out of the car. It was cold outside. Few people came and took our bags.

We were going to spend 6 months there. We went inside the building. We got inside the lift. Our flat was on the 28th floor. The building was 30 stored. Nikki told us she'd ordered the foods. We went through the corridor.

Mr. Shakya guided us. Roberto opened the door and went inside. We 5 were watching at each other. We were excited. We smiled and wished all of us good luck. Then we went inside.

The flat was huge. Soo huge, for the 5 of us. We were speechless.
"I told you it's huge" Mr. Shakya started laughing.

Kitchen and the living room wasn't separated by any walls. There contained kitchen appliances, a dinning table, a TV and a set of couch. And 5 separate bedrooms with attached bathroom for each of us.

We were too tired to select rooms. We sat in the couch. Fresh air was coming from the balcony.

"There's a swimming pool, and a gym on the terrace and a beautiful garden behind the building and 10 minutes walk from here, there's a beautiful church." David said.

Nikki suggested us to take shower until the food arrives. We 5 took our bags and started choosing rooms. 3 rooms were in a row and 2 were opposite to them. We girls were together and boys took the room opposite to ours.

My room was between Anna's and Nancy's. I went inside the room. It was beautiful. A bed with a drawer, a wardrobe, a small desk and a couch. A large window and empty walls, waiting for pictures.

I went towards the window and started to observe the city. It was city full of glowing lights. The cars in the parking looked very small. The air passed through me, saying hi. They were going to be my best friends for 6 months.

I took out my clothes from the luggage and went inside the bathroom. I turned the shower on.

For me taking shower meant over thinking. I don't know why but I always end up having so many thoughts, about many things. That time I was thinking about Anna and Aarav. I was having imaginary conversations. I was making up my own stories about them. How 6 months would be for them, if they hate each other. I was thinking about them more than my work. Then I came out from there.

I dressed up and I called my parents. We had video chat for few minutes, I showed them my new room and the city.

Then I went back to the living room. Aarav was eating an apple, Mr. Shakya was talking with David and Roberto. Nancy was helping Nikki to plate the foods. Rohan was coming out from his room, drying his hair. He walked to me, as he saw me. He asked me if I needed something. I smiled at him saying no. Rohan sat beside Aarav and Aarav passed him an apple.

"Only Anna's left" Nancy said from the kitchen. Anna's door was still closed. I joined Nancy and Nikki in the kitchen. Nikki was so friendly. She was in her mid twenties. She said she joined Global Management before 3 years.

15 minutes passed, still Anna wasn't out. All of us were very hungry as well as worried.

"Is she sleeping or what.. She's always like this." Aarav sound irritated.

Mr. Shakya told me to go and check her out. Nancy and I went towards her room. I knocked the door but she didn't respond. I tried to open the door and it opened. It was just closed not locked. We went inside the room.

Anna was sitting on the bed. She was lost on her thoughts. She didn't even notice us entering her room. All her belongings were scattered all over the bed. Both of us were shocked to see Anna in that state. Anna was just staring at the wall, completely lost.
