Another Go

Chapter 8: The first morning

I woke up at 8:30 am.
It was late. Everyone must have woken up. I tied my hair into a bun and got out of the room.

Rohan was alone in the kitchen.
"Good morning" I said moving towards him.
"Good morning" he replied with a bright smile.
He asked me if I slept well.
I nodded.
Then I asked him if Anna, Aarav and Nancy were still asleep.
He said he hasn't seen anyone.

I asked him if he had breakfast. Then he said he arrived just few minutes before I came out. I made juice and he made toasts.

The balcony door was closed and the heater was inside the hall. Anna and Aarav must have returned to their rooms.

Rohan asked me what I was looking at. I changed the topic telling him to take toasts to the table. He did as I said. Then someone came in from the main door. It was Nancy. She joined us in the dinning table.
She said she went to the gym as no one was awake when she woke up.

I poured her a glass of juice. Few moments later Anna came out of her room keeping a hand on her neck. I asked her if she was okay. She said her neck is paining. I nearly chocked when she said that. Anna had breakfast and we decided to go to the terrace. We left a small note for Aarav saying we were on the terrace.

Anna looked much better than the previous day. There weren't much people on the terrace. The air was so cool. All of us were enjoying the view.

Anna's POV:

I woke up with the sensation of pain in my neck. My head was on Aarav's shoulder. I was shocked. Aarav was still sleeping. We were on the balcony. I remembered talking with Aarav, but when we both fell asleep? It was still dark.  We were on a chair. We were covered by 3 blankets and there was a heater besides us. Who kept that?

I looked at my watch, it was 3:30 am. I started waking Aarav up. He woke up. He was equally shocked as I was. He asked me if I brought those blankets and heater. I shook my head and said no.

"Go to your room and sleep." Aarav said.

I took my blanket and went to my room. Who must have kept those blankets? I thought for some time
then I fell asleep.

I woke up at 8:55 am. My neck was paining a lot. I came out of the room. Siwani, Rohan and Nancy were having breakfast. I joined them. Aarav's door was still closed.
Then we decided to go to the terrace. Siwani wrote a note for Aarav saying we were on the terrace. Aarav might think I did that.

There weren't many people on the terrace. Everyone was busy on their own. I went towards Siwani. Nancy and Rohan were taking pictures. I knew it was her who put blanket on us last night. I thanked her. She asked why. For the last night, I said.

"That I didn't told anyone that you were staring at the wall?" she replied making fun of me.
I laughed cause I knew she just wanted to make me feel less awkward.
Then she held my hands and said my secrets were safe with her.
I hugged her.

Then she told me she needed something from me to keep my secret. I was confused.
She started laughing and said she needed her blanket back.
"It's with Aarav" I replied laughing with her.

After few moments of silence she asked me how Aarav and I met.
The memories of that evening in Pokhara came in front of my eyes.

"It's okay, if you're not comfortable in telling" Siwani said turning to me, with worried expression.
I felt there was nothing wrong in sharing things with her.

I told her how we met. I told her everything that happened at that evening. How I let Aarav take an extra ice cream for me in our first meet. And how much scared Aarav was on the terrace when I went besides him.

She was listening to me with a cute smile on her face. I stopped when I saw Aarav entering the terrace. I told her not to tell anything to Aarav. She said okay in a low voice, giving me a comforting smile.

Aarav came to us with juice in his hand.

Aarav's POV:

I was shocked when I saw Anna besides me at the middle of the night. She was waking me up. How both of us end up sleeping on that balcony? We were covered with 3 blankets and there was a heater too.  I asked Anna if she brought those blankets, knowing she wasn't behind that.
She replied that she didn't.
It was cold there, so I told her to go back to her room and sleep. She took her blanket and left.

I turned the heater off and kept it inside the hall. I took the blankets, closed the balcony door and went to my room. I was too sleepy to think of anything so I just slept.

I woke up with the sound of door bell. I came out of the room. The hall was empty. Someone was ringing the doorbell. I opened the door. It was food delivery. The delivery boy said Mr. Shakya ordered the lunch for us. I thanked him and closed the door. I went to Rohan's room too check if he was still sleeping but the room was empty. Even girls room were empty. I walked to the dinning table to keep the bag. And saw a note for me saying they were on the terrace. Anna's never gonna change. She and her habit of leaving notes.

I poured myself a glass of juice. I was too lazy to go to the terrace. So I thought I'd just call them to come back. Then I realized we haven't got UK sim card and none of us were connected on any social media. Not even Anna.

I went to the terrace. I saw Siwani and Anna. Both of them were smiling and laughing. Siwani was listening, and Anna was talking. I saw Anna laughing like that after so long. I didn't want to disturb them so I just kept on watching them from the door. Rohan and Nancy were talking pictures on the other side. Anna stopped talking as she saw me. Then I went towards them.

"Were you guys backbiting about me" I asked them in a sarcastic way.
"Anna don't tell anything to Aarav, okay?" Siwani added sarcastically.
"Ssh" Anna pretended zip her lips. God, that was cute.
All of us laughed.
Nancy and Rohan came to us and asked why were we laughing.

Then I told them that the lunch has arrived. Rohan asked me if I ordered the lunch.
"Mr. Shakya did" I said.

We spent 15 minutes more on the terrace. Then we went to our flat.

Siwani's POV:

I didn't expected Anna to open up that soon. I was scared as hell when I asked her how she met Aarav. I thought she'd get angry but she told me everything. The day she met him for the first time. She was blushing while telling the story. I was enjoying too.
She stopped when Aarav came.

Aarav opened the door and we got inside. There was a huge bag on the table. We all sat in the table. We girls served the lunch.

As we were eating, Nikki and David came in.

"Where's Roberto?" Aarav asked.
"He have to attend some meetings so he won't be able to join us today" Nikki said.
"Where we were going today?" Rohan asked.
"Some important places" Nikki answered.

Then David gave us new sim cards.
We all exchanged our numbers. Nikki provided us office's number.
Then they told us to get ready.

"We'd leave at 11" Nikki said. It was already 10:30.
All of us went to our rooms to get ready.
