Chapter 22: Anna's 1st "I love you"

Aarav's POV:

All of us went to our own rooms as soon as we reached home. I changed my dress and went to kitchen. Anna was cooking, headphones on. Anna always cooks food listening to songs whenever she's frustrated.

She took out the headphones as I went besides her.
"What's cooking?" I asked her.
"Taste it." She replied giving me a spoon.
I took the spoon and took few portion of food and ate it. It was new for me. It was good but I had no idea what it was.

"It's tasty, but what is this." I asked taking another spoon of that.
"I'm experimenting new dish." She started laughing.
"What if it isn't edible?" I acted as if I was scared.
"You'll die." She replied and laughed.
"People are so heartless." I gave her a cruel look. She just smiled.

"Now tell me what happened in the office?" I asked giving her my full concentration.
"Nancy and Rohan got scolded because of me." She said in a low voice.
"How?" I asked.
"3 of us came up with different ideas, but we decided to present my idea to the head." Anna said adding something in the pan.
"You forced them to choose your idea?" I asked, knowing she wouldn't do such thing.
"You think I'd do that?" She stared at me.
"Exactly! You didn't force them. So it's not your fault." I tried to explain.
"Still that was my idea."
"We are a team Anna!" I interrupted her. She remained quiet.
Few moments later her eyes started getting wet. I knew she'd cry.

Without thinking anything I hugged her.

"Stop blaming yourself for these things." I patted her back.
Her crying was breaking my heart. One of the most hardest thing in the world is seeing your loved ones cry.

"Your new dish needs you! So stop crying." I said sarcastically and she gave me a weak smile.
Moments later she stopped crying and started to focus on cooking. She seemed fine so I decided to prepare the dessert.

Rohan Nancy and Siwani too came out from their rooms. Rohan and Nancy looked fine.

"I'm sorry guys." Anna turned to Rohan and Nancy.
"We're a team bro!" Rohan and Nancy replied together.
Rohan and Nancy went besides Anna and started talking. Siwani came to me at that time.

"Why is Anna saying sorry?" She asked me and I told her everything that happened in the office.
"It's not her fault." She concluded and I nodded.

After that all of us sat to have dinner. Anna served the food.
"What's this?" Rohan asked.
"Something edible." I replied sarcastically.
"You won't die." Anna threw a spoon on me and sat beside me.
"Ouch!"
And then all of us started eating.

"Aarav you remember the first time we went to "Aarav's favorite place" together?" Anna said.
"Yes, I was the one who took you there." I smirked.
"When we were returning back we ate this in a cafe." Anna said swallowing the food.

Oh yes! I remembered it then. It was the cafe's special dish. And Sumee ordered it. God! That day!

"Will anyone explain what happened that day?" Nancy complained cutely.
Anna and I looked at each other and started laughing.

"I'll tell you about that day." Anna said.
And then Anna started.

One fine Saturday morning I woke up by Aarav's call.
"Are you free today?" He asked as soon as I picked up.
"Huh?" I wasn't even fully awake.
"I want to take you somewhere." He added.
"What are you saying?" I asked in a lazy voice.
Saying "Call me after you freshen up." He cut the call.

I had no idea what he was saying, that is why I hate people calling me early in the morning. Lazily I woke up, drank a glass of water and video called him.
